and also this could e posted in the solah singaar forum
but since you have asked

basically his role was that he used to love shagun and so did shagun but shagun's grandmother got her married to someone else named sumer
later on sumer dies and karan comes back for little time
and then he leaves because the grandmother asked him to leave and then they show sumer is alive

So i think what happened was that he probably got signed to do dill mill gayye so he quit solah singar
because he does not come anymore
