This may be against every Fandom post ever made but it's a fact.

Please do understand that the show is a form of entertainment or release to you but to the cast and crew it is their livelihood.

Their families rely on their job.

As Divyanka once said, no one is really successful in the field of entertainment because the moment a job ends you have to hunt for another.

Please do understand that you are anything but a viewer but the people who work for the show - that's their job.

Job > Viewers.

If you were given a show to handle even for a day, you wouldn't be able to do it.

Daily shows go one for years without break and air for 24 minutes and six (soon seven) days a week. That is a lot of content which includes dialogue, proper placement of characters and thinking and over-thinking characters and movements.

Please do not revolt on the the tiniest things in the show because trust me in the long run they do make sense.

If you really have to post something, like reaaallly need to post something, that would cause turmoil or negative publicity please take some time off the forum and think before you post.

I remember joining the forum somewhere in October, 2014 and I wasn't one of the initial members and chose to stick to Meherbaan rather than interacting in the forum because sometimes it just ruins the experience. And the forum now has become a really unhealthy place.

I do agree that the show is going against everything it once stood for but think of this way.. What is 50 people against lakhs of live viewers? What are a few hundreds who care, analyse and think to lakhs of TRP audience who care less?

Divyanka, Karan, Aly, Anita and the rest; the show is their job. It is so sickening to find them bashed, attacked, sent death threats and inflicted damage on just to make a point.

They are actors. They are handed a script the minute they report the set.

To those who have an issue with Divyanka's popularity - she has worked hard. She has struggled a lot - from being cheated on her first show, to working in a bad environment for three years, to being out of a job, to doing no name shows. She was nineteen or twenty when she started working. She was 29 when she hit the jackpot and she has worked hard to get here.

The entertainment industry is a cut throat industry - a really vindictive, scary and complicated community with secrets darker than what the 'outsiders' know of.

You do not know of the sacrifices she made, the heartbreaks she's had or the failures she's faced or still faces. You see the perfect picture; what she wants you to see but sadly that isn't the whole picture.

I don't know much about her nor am I her fan but as a human being, spare her for heavens sake. People are not what they make you feel they are.

She appears joyful, happy and radiates positivity but she isn't the god damn poster child for happiness - she gets hurt too.

She hasn't wasted hours on the Internet hating people she hasn't met or will never know on a personal basis.

So you're bored? You hate your life? You need a target? Target your God damn self. Work on your life instead of spewing your anger on someone unrelated to you. Do you even know what it's like to have an excellent day then hear a passing comment and even when you know you shouldn't care you still do.. If you do, then she does too.

I'm tired of seeing the poor girl being bashed and attacked right, front and centre. Get a God damn life, you people. And I mean you people because even if no one is here, you sure do stalk the forum.
Please. Please. Please. Please. For heavens sake take your sad, pitiful and annoying souls and un-tag yourself from the rest of the Fandom.

You are not a fan. If you cannot deal with the fruits of their struggle, then please keep away. The rest of us like to have a safe haven where we return to at the end of the day and connect through something all of us once appreciated or still do - YHM. And even if we do not have the show; we have friends and online family we care to keep in touch with. Please spare us if not the actors.

Please, I'm not moral policing, but please let's make this place less suffocating because I'm tired of hunting for Gan's posts on the days I visit only to be met with such hateful posts. I'm tired of visiting Divyanka's profile or posting a comment only to see other hateful comments above mine; I'm tired of her trying their best to make motivational videos; I'm tired of Ankita being attacked at every point and threatened to leave Karan; I'm tired of watching actors being attacked. I'm tired of hateful posts that fill the forum. I'm tired of every tiny moment being criticised.

Please understand that no one remembers your name; what they remember you as is a DiVan, IshRa or YHM fan. We get tagged with you. I don't like that. I'm not a hater. I don't like to be tagged as one. Majority of us aren't, we don't like to be tagged as either. Please understand that.

I'm eighteen; the forum and Fandom is filled with people of all ages, color and nations. If I can know better than to hate on, hurt and disrupt, then everyone does.

And about the surrogacy track, please let it play out. As stupid as the plot sounds now the show till now has showed us the worst and then picked up and made sense to a level. The bad isn't necessarily bad and neither is the good necessarily good; please let it play out.

As I said, this show is the livelihood for hundreds or thousands. They know what they are doing. Please let them do that.

The show deals with sensitive topics and no matter how much its butchers itself I trust it and I trust the makers to not make a mockery of themselves and the show.

Lastly, the Internet is a public domain and the forum a public forum and nothing on the Internet, no matter how cryptic you are, is private. Please understand that.

Edit 1.

As I said earlier, please do voice out your opinions but on matters that matter as a whole like the current mockery of infertility and the subject of surrogacy; but when it comes to simple matters like Raman raising his voice on Ishita, a flaw in her character in some episode or something that irks you please remember that there are people who watch the show other than you. Disrupting the environment, causing chaos and making this place stressful is not a way to deal with your frustrations (in a crude and offensive manner). Take some time off. I'm mentioning this collectively and not only to you. No one is perfect, we don't follow a character sketch when it comes to our actions word by word and for a show that runs 24 minutes for 6 days, I don't expect perfection in every scene. This was the latter meaning. Not staying mum about everything but knowing when to voice out instead if causing unwanted chaos and stress.

Sorry if I offended you, but these are my views and I am entitled to share them just like you are to yours.

I agree with you about the actor bashing, but I will draw a line with the current track.

Even though the end may be fine - I am appalled at the message we have gotten this week from the show. I react to what's shown because we aren't privy to the future. And faith in the makers only goes to an extent.

This is their livelihood, but do they not have any semblance of duty to society? I was horrified by the "sex is a cure for infertility" but didn't find the need to make a post about how to file a complaint. But right now, what we are seeing is a man have his wife sign papers for surrogacy with her eggs without her informed consent.

TV shows are given a lot of slack for content, but do they not owe society anything? These channels, PHs, stars make so much more money than we will ever see thanks to viewers. So do they not need to constantly evaluate their content?

Every profession is held to standards by the public. Doctors are scrutinized online harshly by patients and in America, patient feedback now impacts physician pay. So does this not apply to the content of shows?

Are viewers not allowed to express frustration at something that as of now appears to promote misogyny & gives a poor view of the medical profession.

But I also only come here to voice my opinion, where it doesn't matter to anyone but like-minded people.

However, like your first point said - there is a way to dole out constructive criticism. Actors & those involved with shows are humans and everyone should respect that. There should be a mutual respect between fans and those they like, but unfortunately the internet has given people the mask of anonymity to spread ugly hate.

However, simply hating & bashing renders your view & the view of valid viewers irrelevant.

So idk - free speech should be used judiciously and respect should be shared by all, but unfortunately in general (with Indian soaps & just the internet in general) - this life lesson has been lost.

Medicine; a degree in Medicine takes 11-16 years. I like the fact that Ishita is a dentist - an educated woman, per se, but what I do not like is the mockery it has made of the profession in the general media out of 'creative liberty'. I dislike the fact that the struggle of getting into medical school, living through it and getting licensed is being mocked to such an extent. I don't watch the show, as you know, but reading what I do read when I frequent Gan's thread me appalled on so many levels. Imagine if I did watch the show.

Let's not even discuss the consummation for a kid, I was infertile until I did it with you for the first time, switching kids without consent, physical intimacy for ulterior motives - that wasn't my show. My show was the show before the 11 PM leap; before Ishita was overly righteous, Raman someone who I cannot understand and other reasons. My show was with flawed characters who proved that they could be loved. My show was with Raman, Ishita and Ruhi as a family; about a man who couldn't love, a woman who craved to loved and a child who needed love. That was what I signed up for. But quoting Divyanka from a recent interview, the show was never meant to completely be a late night show.. The reason it was a late night show was the lack of time slots. And taking the liberty of it being a late night show to a prime time show has butchered it for us 11PM audience. I fail to watch it as for me it ended. There is a limit between crass and drama. This is the former not the latter.

Indian audiences have this, how do we term it, abusive way of putting forward their thoughts. As you know, I follow Doctor Who which has 50 years of footage and audiences who range through all ages who actively voice out opinions; but never have I come across such degradation as I have now. As you mentioned, there is a way of putting forward opinions. Gan's thread is a perfect example - decent, uplifting and what makes you think or like Rajji's comic strips - humor. But straight out abusing the cast and crew followed but revolting public topics - I'm sorry, maybe I'm a kid, too uptight or just not meant for the Internet.. But that's not the way.

I post on people's post to say that YHM is but a show and Anita, for that matter even Amit Tandon and Sumeet Sachdev (Subbu & Mani) portray characters!

This forum IS a bloody living hell! These God damn losers watch YHM but also have the audacity to sit hear and blabber bullshit about YHM!

I love YHM, DivAn, IshRa, Karan, DT, EACH & every member of the cast!

This post WAS MUCH NEEDED! It's cleared my mind of all the crap that had been festering! With this post you've made me realise my blunder (of going onto twitter and revolting against even the smallest of things!!!)

I'd understood this a week back actually that I should sit back and JUST enjoy YHM but then I want the best for YHM so I used to go ahead and protest against EVERYTHING ... that was my way of trying to help YHM be the best ... Yes ... I'm totally insane about YHM!!!

Your post has made me fall MORE so in love with YHM!

Thank you!

Hence forth, I'll AVOID any negativity and venom filled posts ... That means NOT visiting the forum forever!!!

I'm ONLY going to watch YHM and not fall for spoilers, sources, assumptions or ANYTHING!

The ONLY thing that SHALL matter to me is YHM and my undying love!

Hi Kira,
I agree to your post in terms of actors but I would not say the same for the plot.

I agree 100% that you cannot condemn actors/actress on what character they are portraying in the show because in real life they may be the same type of person whose character they are playing or may be total opposite to the character they are playing so at no point we should confuse the actors/actress and the characters.

At the same as viewer I am going to criticize the character if I don't like the way it has been sketched or if the character was just forced into the story when it was not needed or just for the sake of drama without any logic eliminate a character or if the character behaves in a weird way I am going to complain and criticize the same way when I appreciate a character when they are showing something good.

Take YHM I loved every character be it Raman, Ishita , Ruhi, Shagun, Ashok, Adi, Bhalla and the Iyers when they were all part of 11 pm slot I had nothing but appreciation for each and every character because it was flawed and it was real and was able to connect to each character even the grey Shagun and Ashok but once the time slot change I am not able to connect with any character they were butchered beyond recognition I watch YHM because of KP/DT and YHM Cast amazing acting skills

I do complain when they give me sub standard plots take for example the surrogacy plot itself it is against the nature of the core concept of the story itself; the core concept was even if a lady could not have a child she will be loved by her husband and she is a complete woman which was clearly portrayed by Raman/Ishita at the same time he was so much in love with her he wanted to her to experience the bliss she craves for but when she lost the bliss her husband goes crazy in her love that he is forgetting that he is violating her basic rights and cheating her that is where in the distaste for this plot comes from. I know it is a soap people except lots of drama from it but even when the show started with Ishita being infertile everyone was hoping to see IshRa baby so that is much awaited track from most of the YHM fans when they butcher those kinds of tracks then it is impossible to take.

The main reason I liked YHM is because they touched topics which was not generally touched by any tv shows and for sometimes they gave valid closure to the track for eg Param track - molestation inside the house usually man goes scot free but here they showed that it should not be the case and it took a stand. MIL/DIL relations every serial sported that MIL as controlling one or a vamp or a person who disliked the DIL here in YHM they showed a beautiful relationship between the two starting from hate, acceptance with grievance, acceptance finally love each other and every character was etched beautifully as well as the plot some of the plot were interlocked and ran for about 6 months or so but now a days they cannot deal with one single plot sensibly. They touched teenage suicide, martial rape, forcing your partner when they are unwilling even if you are in love with each other, family misunderstanding over money, infertility, surrogacy, custody they are all untouched topics by any of the tv shows they could have used these topics to create awareness even if they did not want to create awareness they used it for drama purpose the least they could have done is not make a mockery out of it that is what they have been doing now that is why there is so much complaint from loyal viewers because we want to see the OLD YHM who we were able to connect.

So I said I agree with you in not bashing the actors/actress in real life but the characters what I see on screen I am going to analyze and criticize

Exactly this show is for entertainment so keep it as an entertainment only instead of publishing wrong article only to play with fans emotions and hurt them so they can stay in news and actors also not advertise such a stupid and disgusting track and false rumours
Being professional and job that doesn't give them right to play anything on tv and with fans emotions

About actors bashing neither divyanka nor karan are first one and last one to get bashed
This is not new and nothing gonna change

There is fault by both parties not only one party
Either those professional or we viewers
Both of them need to keep show as an entertainment not larger than life
