Late evening breaking news, set to flutter the hearts of many Tere Sheher Mein fans.
The Star Plus show from the stables of Director's Kut, if sources are to be believed, will see a major twist in its actor' line up.
And we are talking about casting casualty, a scenario wherein a dominant performer hangs his boots.
For all lovely fans out there, who have been anxiously awaiting the reunion of their favourite jodi, Mantu and Amaya, this bit of info will come as a mood spoiler.
There will be no reunion', for as per our sources, the male protagonist of the show, Dhruv Bhandari aka Mantu has QUIT.
Oh boy...drama on and off screen...
So what led to the drastic decision? Why did Dhruv decide to walk away?
We were equally curious to unravel the entire development and thus reached out to our sources.
This is what we learnt: "Mantu, who is in love with Amaya (Hiba Nawab), in the coming days would have seen a shift in his personality. Yes, the otherwise sweet and gullible Mantu would have turned negative, much to Dhruv's chagrin. Though the twist would have added spice to the already succulent plot, Dhruv thought otherwise and chose to opt out instead of getting smeared with the grey shade."
With this, the makers are left in the lurch and a frantic search has begun to sniff out a last minute replacement, is what we hear.
Dhruv, son of popular actor Mohan Bhandari, marked his full scale return to Indian television after a lull with Tere Sheher Mein. Recently, he hogged headlines for his alleged affair with choreographer Shruti Merchant. He has also been linked to his co star Hiba, with whom he shares a crackling chemistry.
When we rang up the actor for a comment, after a patient hearing he asked us to buzz later as he was taking care of his ailing father (he is recuperating from brain tumour). We wish him a speedy recovery. As for Dhruv, as and when he chooses to speak to us, we shall update this space and share his side of the story.
We also dropped a text message to Producer Rajan Shahi but did not receive any revert till the time of filing the story.
