The episode started with the celebration on Ganesh Chaturthi on 31st august 2003 in Mumbai. The introduction of Survi is made as she says" Ganapati bappa Moriya". her father's mobile is shown ringing but nobody picks up and hence get recorded as the 4th missed call. Survi goes into her house and finds her friend eating vada pav without studying. She chides Shanti and tells her that without reciting the three times table she will not get a vada pav and finally threatens to break their friendship. Shanti gets nervous and starts narrating.
The phone starts ringing and Survi answers. The man on the other line claims to want to befriend her father. Her father enters and takes the call. The man on the other line makes Sreekant(Survi's father) nervous and tells him that he can't to the man's work. The man tells that he want Bhau(The Don King of the Chawl).
The call ends and Survi sees the tension and asks about it and tells her father to at least talk about his tension to his friend Bhau. Survi and Shanti leaves.
The girls are on their way when Survi notices a 50 rupee note. she decides that if they don;t find the owner they would offer the money to god. As she goes to pick it up Karthik start pulling it towards him with a string. He and his friends have a good laugh at Survi's innocent attempts to pick up the note.Shanti address Karthik as her elder brother but sides with Survi when Karthik argues with Survi.
Scene shifts to the man on the phone blocking Survi's way
The scene shifts to Bhau's house where Tayi is trying to learn english from a modern(shown as gay) teacher. Tayi tells she has 3 kids whom she has sent to english medium school and she still needs an outsider's help to learn. Tayi is preparing a speech in english for her's and Bhau's 25th Wedding Anniversary. A small fight between 2 sisters is shown .Bhau enters and the commotion stops and the english teacher flees. Srikant enters but doesn't tell anything and Bhau assumes that he's come to give money. Bhau talks about threats to attack him that has been coming.
The scene shifts to the man who called Srikant taking Survi as hostage in a house numbered 112. Survi is scared and upset due to this.
Tayi asks Karthik if he would take a bullet for Bhau. Karthik's mom who is watching from the kitchen gets anxious. Tayi tells Karthik that he has a life because of Bhau. Karthik agrees that he'll take a bullet for Bhau and his mother is shocked and worried.
Srikant gets a call about his daughter from the man and rushes out telling Bhau that he forgot to get the money and will return with it. Srikant sees that the men has kept Survi hostage and agrees to take them to Bhau.
Tayi demands Hakka noodles from Lata(Karthik's Mom) and reminds her rudely that when she and her mentally unstable daughter and her son were homeless, Bhau and Tayi took them in and gave them a living. Karthik is doing his job and she should do her job too. Once Tayi sees Bhau and Karthik right outside the kitchen she speaks to in a sweet voice.
Scene shifts to Bhau giving Karthik some weapons to be taken somewhere. Tayi asks Bhau if he trusts Karthik with such huge responsibilities. Bhau says that karthik should learn as he is going to inherit all of Bhau's illegal business. Bhau tells that he'll never let his own children take over the business bt Karthik can as he doesn't care of the boy lives or dies doing the business. He also tells Tayi to never forget to remind Lata about the favor that was done for them.
On the way Karthik meets Srikant who was leading a group of men and ends up dropping the weapons. Srikant asks Karthik when he'll stop doing all this and karthik tells that he wants to stay with Bhau and learn the business and become like Bhau someday. he then asks Srikant why the latter is in tension and who these people are. One of the men with Srikant take Karthik at gun point and leads him away.
The final scene is Karthik locked up in the same room as Survi.
