Exclusive: Arbaaz Khan: "Hope to start Dabangg 3' in 2017"

BizAsia had the unique chance to speak to actor, director and producer Arbaaz Khan recently. He will be seen next on the big screen this Friday as baddie in TV comedian Kapil Sharma's debut film, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon'. However, he also confirmed that he will be directing the forthcoming third instalment of the Dabangg' franchise.
BizAsias Showbiz Editor Amrita Tanna asked Khan whether he will be directing the film and he said, "As of now, yes. We are on a schedule to start sometime... well, I would say in 2017 we are hoping to take the film on the floors because next year will still be a very heavy year for Salman. He's concentrating on one film at a time and with his commitments, the earliest he will be available is probably late 2016. So, with a comfortable break, we should be able to begin in early 2017. We hope that it works out that way."
Khan directed the second instalment of the franchise which released in 2012. He has also acted in both Dabangg' (2010) and Dabangg 2', playing the on-screen brother of his real brother, Salman Khan.
