Life in Mumbai chawls has always been a source of intriguing stories. Yeh Vaada Raha is one such show that narrates the story of Survi and Kartik, who are completely different individuals separated by their backgrounds, age and temperaments. However, they are bound to each other across a lifetime by the promises made by one of them. A twist in the tale prompts Kartik to make an unbreakable vow to Survi's father that brings Survi and Kartik together. Survi is a responsible 9-year-old child, wise beyond her years while Kartik is a happy-go-lucky 19-year-old boy, who wholly understands his family responsibilities. Will the promise made by Kartik to Survi's father stand the test of time?

Yeh Vaada Raha story revolves around Kartik and Survi who are brought up by single parents. The show will have backdrop of Maharashtrian families...How far will Kartik go to keep his promise given to Survi's father forms the crux of the story ? Yeh Vaada Raha starts 21st September at 10PM every Monday to Friday only on Zee TV.

Kartik is a carefree, young boy who loves playing cricket and is great with kids. He grew up in the same chawl as Survi nearly half a generation ago. Kartik is a part of a joint family and had been highly influenced by Bhau, the local goon after his father passed away. This young man with a bright face keeps everyone around him happy, but is at the same time heavily burdened by family responsibilities. He believes that the family will leave all their struggles behind one day and head towards a better life which is just around the corner.

Survi is a quiet, shy yet mature 9-year-old girl who lives with her father Shrikant in a chawl in Mumbai. She portrays a tough exterior but is very vulnerable from within as she fears she will lose her father too someday. Survi's mother had passed away in an accident when she was a child and she then had to take care of herself, her father, the house and her studies whilst growing up into a young woman. She is looking for an anchor in her life to build a family that she can call her own someday.
