Rakhi Sawant's mimi'cry'--aRTICLE

The atmosphere was pretty charged on the sets of Nach Baliye 3 on Monday afternoon. While the contestants were busy preparing for their acts, the talking point was Rakhi Sawant's mimicry skit on her infamous kiss with singer Mika Singh. The theme for the performances this week was 'ched-chaad' (mischief between the couples).

Forced revisit

Rakhi and Abhishek were seated in the contestant's area wearing burkhas to keep their look and ensembles for the performance undercover. After performing on the Jaa re hat natkhat number for which she got a standing ovation from the contestants and the audience, Hussain urged Rakhi to exhibit her mimicry skills. Sawant wasn't too amused when one of the judges asked her to mimic her jaani dushman Mika, and chose to ape Amitabh Bachchan instead. But the judges wouldn't let her leave the stage without doing a 'Mika.'

On Hussain's insistence, Rakhi finally did a hilarious take-off on Mika's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa performance that she called 'Palak Bikhraa Ja'. Rakhi asked Abhishek to 'play' her while she acted like Mika. She also poked fun at Mika's request to Jeetendra to talk in Punjabi after his last performance. She said, "One Punjabi is asking another Punjabi, 'please give me at least one mark! I know I am a terrible dancer and don't deserve more'."

But after the shoot, Rakhi had second thoughts. Says an insider, "She was clearly unhappy with the idea of revisiting her kiss episode."

No telecast

When asked about the act, Rakhi says, "I have already told the Star guys to remove my Mika mimicry from the episode. I don't want to give him any undue publicity. I would rather let the audience enjoy my performance than talk about Mika."

About the competition on Nach, she says, "I think Aamir-Sanjeeda and Kashmera –Krushna are quite good. But I don't want to think about who's performing better. My focus is on delivering in each and every round."

A voice from the channel confirmed that Rakhi's Mika mimicry would not be telecast. "We have decided to heed her request and not carry the Mika sequence where she made fun of him."
