Kabir reaches Ananya's house but is met by her angry mother. Despite trying to explain, she furiously throws the engagement ring and asks him to leave.Kabir calls up Tarini and tells her everything. She asks him to reveal his side of the story but he is dejected. Kabir tells Lakshman how at that time he was protecting Sudhir Kashyap who was framed despite being innocent. The story goes that around that time he had proof against his company for killing some children illegally. They made Sudhir the fall guy and accused him of murder of one politician who was just coming to power then.
Kabir supported Sudhir and wrote an article in his favour when he came to know he was innocent. With Kabir's article, Sudhir got bail. When he went to meet him, Sudhir was murdered right in front of his eyes. Kabir wrote another article supporting him but he started getting threatening calls and at one point of time even his brother and sister in law were threatened so they asked him to leave the house which he had to do. He had then kept quiet about knowing this fearing for Ananya and her family's lives. Lakshman asks why not he tell her now but he tells him sadly that she wouldn't understand.
Armaan begs Ananya to listen to Kabir once but she and her mom refuse to do so. Meanwhile in the office, Richa senses something wrong between KaYa and tells Ronnie. Ronnie decides to speak to Ananya and Baby and Ronnie plan to go to the gurudwara to pray for them. Ananya meets Tinu and asks him to find out information about her dad's case and asks him to report only to her and not to Kabir.
