Hello Safedians.😊
Well. It is a silly question. But I was thinking of it since a long time. 😕

I see widows in the ashram having some lines of colors in their sarees and that pluses .😃 But Dhani didn't wear any thing like this. Only she and those 2 elder widows wear pure white. Is it a tradition, or just that Dhani isn't interested in colors?😲

i think its intentional...dhani as it is seems to be the youngest among them..also she must have been the one who was widowed most recently...so perhaps that is why she wears purely white sarees...
but i think the creatives have made this decision purely on the basis of optics and how we are supposed to associate dhani with pureness and piety and innocence..note how she wears her sari in a really loose manner unlike suvarna or raajlakshmi...its done i think to emphasize her lack of concern towards such material things..also i remember this one promo of the show where the caption was that viplav falls in love with dhani not because of her looks...so maybe that is what they want to portray..that viplav loves her despite her average appearance ( eisha is beautiful but hopefully her dressing sense will evolve) ...personally i like dhani but i find suvarna's dressing style to be the best...

I think the creatives want to distinguish Dhaani as purest and innocent. White is the color of innocence and purity. She is not just physically pure (virgin) but her heart is pure, and innocent. She diligently and with devotion pratices her "vidhwa dharam"... Which is ridiculous but that shows her righteousness above other widows. She does what she has been taught to be right despite her selfish desires unlike other widows who complain. We have never seen Dhaani ever complain about the stuff she doesn't get to eat or wear or do because she is a widow. Even though it's not her fault that she is a widow she stills submits to those customs, this shows her innocent heart. She wearing pure white just visually amplifies and enhances those facts about her in the viewers mind constantly.

Tide use karti hogi🤣. I always forget to mention on seeing your pic that my parents were such ardent followers of shastri sisters. Never missed any episode. 😃

Thank you very much Niki for explanation.😃 Sympolism is playing a big rule in this show, so I think your talking about cvs' intentionally showing pureness and innocence of Dhani by dressing her in pure white is right.

awww...no need for saying thanks buddy...besides i could be wrong considering all this symbolism is subjective...

and you are so right...symbolism plays such a major role in the show...so many scenes have this inherent symbolism...like dhani painting that radha-krishn idol and viplav sketching dhani's sketch , viplav putting gulaal , that scene where he goes to apologise in the middle of the night and only dhani is aware of him being out there...also the fact that when viplav was at his most honest dhani wasnt there to witness it..it tells us how there will be misunderstanding later on, him sitting on the stairs of the ashram , that white paint falling on viplav , that footprints scene...there are so many beautiful scenes with high symbolism...

but my fav is during the mob attack when Viplav puts his hand on Dhani's head...it was so beautiful and it foretold how viplav if going to be there to protect dhani and shield her from the evilness and unfairness and hypocrisy of our society...

in fact their names are so very symbolic...Viplav means revolution - his love for dhani will not only revolutionize their lives but also the inherent staleness in that status quo where somebody as sick and manipulative as DT is referred to as prabhu...

also Dhani is usually a colour associated with young girls and marriage rituals like dhani chunaria...

i just love how all these elements provide richness and layers to the beautiful story...
