Why are we expecting redemption for Lakshya?
Why should a woman forgive a man who never trusted and respected her? Who considered her capable of running from the wedding venue and who did not even show the decency to wait for her and hear her side of the story before getting hitched to his 'friend'?
Yes, Sanskar also did a lot of wrong things to Swara but there is a basic difference here - Sanskar hurt a third part to avenge someone he loved, Lakshya hurt the person he loved after being poisoned by a third party.
We can say that lakshya's character was destroyed by the CVs but again the true strength or weakness of a person comes out when he faces adversity. Lakshya had never faced real adversity till then in his life so was all goody good. The first tough test came he fell flat on his face.
This is where Sanskar shone- he was broken by his pain, stooped low to take revenge but corrected himself in time - realised that he was hurting someone innocent. Instead of asking for support he himself became a pillar of support for Swara.
Laskhya is so wallowing in self pity that he doesnot even seem to realise that he is hurting the person he loves.
Lastly Sanskar is shown intelligent and Lakshya gullible. So in my opinion Sanskar is much more a 'man' than Lakshya and therefore an infinitely better choice for Swara.
