Agree billorani123 that Swara subconsiously looks for a male figure in her life who is strong, trustworthy, and dependable. She never got this from her father or grandfather and now Sanskaar is showing her that such men do exist.
If he had been a good guy from the beginning she would have put him on a pedestal and idolized him too much to even consider him an equal partner. The fact that he made some big mistakes means she sees him as a mere human who is trying to do the right thing, which according to her nature is quite acceptable.
Sanskaar isn't physically much older than Laksh but he has aged and matured due the trauma in his life, otherwise I'm sure he was carefree and maybe naive at one point in his life. It's this maturity that Swara identifies with - she too has seen the harsh realities of life in the form of her mom's loneliness and suffering and the recent trauma of Ragini's betrayal and losing Laksh.
