Rajmata tells Badi Rani Ma of the deal she made with Govindseth. Gayatri is about to hear everything but is taken away by her bhabhi. As the procession waits outside and Gayatri wonders what the elders were talking, Govindseth comes and tells them that Ranaji's baraat won't come. Badi Rani Ma asks forgiveness from all and tells them that the marriage won't happen here but in the Royal Palace and that she wishes to see her grandson married there. Everyone is stunned and happy.
Badi Rani praises Gayatri and indirectly taunts Rajmata. She tells Gayatri that she would have lot of responsibilities in the palace. Gayatri replies that a Bahu should be like salt where without it, food would be tasteless and with it, it would become delicious. Badi Rani gives her some a jewellery piece which is supposed to be worn on the wedding day. She also indirectly mentions the deal. As they leave, Govindseth implores them to keep the truth of the deal to themselves.
Kunwar Chachaji recalls beating Lakshraj for his indiscretions with his servant. He and his wife discuss what to do to stop the marriage. Kokila tells that she would use a double edged sword and strike against them. During the marriage, she would carry out her plans. Govindseth meanwhile tries to hide the nature of the deal from Gayatri who is very worried. She asks her father if her marriage is happening not because of their love but something else. Her father sheds tears but lies and convinces her.
Rajmata goes to Badi Rani with confusion in her stance. She asks her the reason for giving her the jewellery piece which actually belongs to Sulakshana. The latter tells her that it doesn't belong to Sulakshana but to the Bahu of the Palace and refuses to do anything about it. Kokila comes just then to get permission for decorating the mandap. Rajmata refuses but Badi Rani agrees. Kokila resolves to stop the wedding somehow. Next day, Gayatri gets ready for her royal wedding. Ranaji is bathed in milk as a royal custom. Lakshraj recalls how he was beaten by his father who had berated him for doing nothing about getting the throne. Meanwhile,Lakshraj's servant holds a bomb disguised as a coconut and gloats that once it is dropped in the ceremonial fire, the king and queen would go up in flames and the throne would be Lakshraj's.
Precap- Gayatri and Ranaji stand on the royal mandap. He is about to put the sindoor but sees the jewellery piece (nath)on her nose and stops. The sindoor falls. He tells her that he doesn't want the marriage when Rajmata puts her hand on his shoulders and stops him mid sentence.
