Talking about something more lighthearted and carefree, I would say movies on female bonding. Like a feminine version of DCH or ZNMD.

Platonic relationships, professional struggles, parody movies, Sci-fi, Mytho, homosexuality, courtroom dramas, disabilities, social taboos. Boy, Hindi films clearly have a LOT to explore...

Even I wonder about the lack of epic mytho movies, we have lots of material and there's no need to make a movie on the entire epic, we also have different parvas. A movie can be made on single parva too. Also, I feel they have a lot of budget management issues. Many huge budget movies don't even justify the money that's put in them. It's not even visible.

I'd like to add book adaptations to the list too, so many amazing novels in so many different Indian languages and we end up adapting the ones with wafer thin stories.

I personally would love to watch more courtroom dramas/thrillers and yeah kid movies. I'd love.to watch some amazing kids movies like Killa. Bollywood hardly has them.

And a big yes to satires and parody movies. I love them.

middle class life - nowadays only high class...fashion...tours...america..europe...SA..

not a middleclass family is shown...no real natural houses...all sets with huge rooms which are very neat and tidy...to see a middleclass life it 'll be some parallel(arT house) cinema or from anand L rai...

i want more muslim christian characters as hero and heroine...other than sidekick drunkyard christian..or a terrorist/don muslim...or some police army patriotic officer...

our tops stars other than SRK (MNIK and Chak de) no one else played muslim hero character...and these two characters had defenition of cheater terrorist...which he was not...

AAmirs fanaa...saif ali khan kurbaan all were terrorist...

Amitabh played a muslim hero in Coolie which was highest grosser then...

.y cant bollywood say story of minority people or SC ST...

atleast something in real natural style...
