Baahubali is biggest achievement this year : BOI

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the biggest hit this year but would it be correct in saying that Tanu Weds Manu Returns with its 150 crore is the biggest achievement this year?

Ans. The biggest achievement this year is the 112 crore nett of Baahubali in Hindi. Actually its probably the biggest box office achievement since Gadar in 2001. The figures and appreciation by the Hindi audience is remarkable. South dubbed films sometimes work in some Hindi markets like a Humse Hai Muqbala, Bombay and Hindustani in the mid 90's but these did not work too well in North. Baahubali has even scored in Delhi /UP and East Punjab becoming the first film from South to do so and the 25 crore nett combined total from these two markets is just unbelievable.
