How the hell did Arjun Kapoor get 2 states?

I just finished watching this movie. I had read half of the book and didn't like it. So I never wanted to watch the film but somehow started watching.

The movie wasn't bad. Everybody's acting was good except of the greatest actor ever Arjun Kapoor. The idiot wasn't able to act in any given scene. Slapping his father, talking with Alia on the phone, etc etc etc, he failed miserably. Those were some very powerful scenes and he couldn't do anything other than stand like an idiot and narrate whats written on a piece of paper.

Karan Johar is extremely lucky that people went to see the movie because of the book. Otherwise this would have been another fail.

Ronit Roy and Alia were the strongest in m opinion.

They should have taken Varun or Ranveer in the film...in fact, it would have been a different sort of a role for Ranveer - a geeky, nerdy, softer look than in most of his movies. It would have been a challege and Ranveer would have risen to it perfectly

at that time Arjun Kapoor was rumored to be next big thing.. may be thats how he got th movie...

Good question, he was the weakest link in the movie. Arjun so didn't deserve to get it.

I think after watching the final product, Karan Johar must be hitting his head on the wall thinking what the hell have I done. Luckily chetan bhagat saved him.

Casting Imran Khan and Arun Kapoor was his biggest mistake ever.

U n me are on same note.
The moment Krish came in picture. His acting thru out movie was so bland .he sooo look like a lazy buff. Haven't seen such pathetic acting 🤢 I like Arjun in Aurangzeb..
