Why Bihaan-Thapki Jodi is Irrational

I understand that a lot of people want Thapki and Bihaan to be together today because they make a cute pair and butt heads, but do people not realize how dumb this would be if they ended up together!
Thapki loves Dhruv. She has no feelings for Bihaan. I am sick and tired of Indian serials where the girl has to forget the actual person she loves and try to start a new life with a different guy. Why can't the girl ever be happy? Why does she always have to make a sacrifice?

Our society continues to show Indians on television with such a backward way of thinking, not to mention none of this stuff actually happens in real life. I for once would like to see Thapki divorce Bihaan and end up with Dhruv or at least have Dhruv try to win her back after the divorce. I know divorce is still taboo in India, but this would be a great platform to show people that you don't have to stick with someone your whole life, especially if you are unhappy. None of that she'll grow to love him nonsense. Why would anyone grow to love someone that cheated them in such a big way?

I just want a show that shows smart female leads making smart choices that do not conform to society norms!

I agree with you. Recently I discussed the same thing with my friend.😊

Logically I agree with what you have said. However, I do not let logic interfere when I watch soaps or movies. If I did, there would not be much to watch.
And soap heroines are not destined to be happy until the last episode anyway. They take crap from every and dress as brides multiple times - Thapki has done it twice in just 4 month.

But she will fall in love with the guy who is actually made for her! I think this whole "female needs to be this and that" is given a lot of hype now, but honestly, I think it's better that she got married to Bihaan, at least she won't have to face any troubles from the saasumaa. Imagine her marrying Dhruv, the love of her life but how miserable she would have been with Vasundhra not accepting her. At least, right now no one really bothers about Bihaan, so in turn no one really cares what happens to his wife.

@bold
Agreed.

This actually bugged me too. I like Thapki/Bihaan but I hated the fact that if they're together then Vasu wins, the thought that someone with a stammering problem cannot be happy. I even made a post about it a while ago.

But this is a show, negative characters have to win for the show to move ahead. Best not to think logic.

Agreed! This is why I rarely watch Indian dramas. I was hoping that they would show Thapki as a strong female lead, but alas. The feminist in me howls in pain...

See the problem here is that nobody is thinking abt Bihaan... He is the one who can make her strong but with Dhruv She may become more weak and dependent...
She has to face the challenges herself not behind a strong support...and y everybody is saying that if Dhruv & her wedding didn't happen that is bad for a person... but Bihaan is also a goood guy at heart...
agar koie stammer kerta hai to wo acha deserve nahi kerta to kia ye zaroori hai Dhruv hi acha tha Bihaan nahi...shayad Bihaaan.. Dhruv se acha prove ho for Thapki...
Think This also... Vasu abhi lag raha hai jeet gai but as the story progresses i think she will be one who will understand and realize her mistake for not marrying her son to such a good person like Thapki... And Bihaan will be the LUCKY one who have a partner like Thapki...

I watch this show on weekends and would continue till the plot is made interesting enough. Thapki's struggle has just begun. I want to see her parents reaction if she chooses to go back home! We could be in for a surprise...Thapki may return and the story could revolve round her feelings when she finds the true face of Vasundhara and realizes that Bihaan is innocent! 😊 Dhruv, on the other hand may choose not to marry and Bihaan may take a 'vachan' to bring the lovers together. 😛 Else, someone would turn negative...

If Bihaan and Dhruv weren't brothers, I would be OK with Bihaan trying to get them together. Trying to get your wife hooked up with your brother, regardless of how the marriage took place, is just 🤢🤢🤢

Thats the prob... if they dont live in the same house or they werent brothers then its okie to give ur wife bak to stranger but the prob here is that they both
It will be so awkard for Bihaan now coz afterall he is the Husband.. and to give ur wife bak is ajeeeb..
