Barfi released exactly 3 years ago. What did u like the most abt the movie?
Also, is there something that haunts u abt d movie? for me, it is d fact that Barfi and Ileana's charachters could not be together...that was really sad, for me as a viewer. I mean, she was engaged to this fiance but she loved Barfi, and then when she finally leaves her husband for Barfi, its too late,, because Barfi loves Priyanka's charachter.

Other than that, I loved dmovie.

I didn't feel incomplete because Barfi got the true love of his life- he wanted someone who would not leave his hand when the tube light comes crashing down 😆 & trust him & Jhilmil was that. It was a beautiful ending for me. Illeana's character took a spur of the moment selfish decision when she decided to leave Barfi & go for a normal guy instead. It pricked her the whole life & she decided the leave her husband but it was too late. In the end, she again had a selfish decision to make but she decided to be selfless & tell Barfi that Jhilmil was calling for him - because this was for Barfi's happiness this time, not hers. She would forever remain happy, that she didn't go all in the moment & keep Barfi to herself but helped Barfi get his happiness <3

My fav part of the film was IIeana's character and performance. Ranbir as well.
PC took up a challenging role and delivered. And I applaud her for that..but I wouldn't day she was my fav performaner in the film.

All that said..the film isn't all that great as it made out to be. I have seen it once and I haven't watched it ever since. I think what people liked about it was that it was a different film/story.

More than the actor trio, It was Anurag, Ravi Varman and Pritam's trio who made Barfi, Barfi if that makes sense 😆

Yes that moment in the climax scene is really beautiful and poetic where ileana's character faces the dilemma of either acting selfishly or letting her love go...

I know everyone loves jhilmil and barfi but i personally think its shruti's character which added that extra layer of emotional depth to the story.

While jhilmil and barfi felt like characters out of fantasy novels, Shruti with all her flaws and selfishness came across as the most human character in the story to me.. I related to her the most in the movie. And her internal turmoils are beautifully captured onscreen by phir le aaya dil...

I didnt mind barfi-jhilmil getting together at all, they loved eachother after all.. My only complain is Shruti choosing to be meera for barfi for the rest of her life😆... I mean common girl!! I get it she loved him, but world doesnt stop there... She was a good-loking chick and she should have just moved on with her life and looked for love elsewhere.

I really loved this film. It was one of the first for which I posted a review here, if not THE first. I don't remember too many details since I never got the opportunity to revisit it. But I absolutely loved Ranbir's and PC's performances. I thought it was a very poetic film and it's bittersweet ending was beautiful. And I am one of the very few people who didn't care much for Ileana, acting-wise or character-wise. For me, this was Ranbir's and PC's film through and through.

Exactly. That's what it was..I could relate/identify with Ileana's character more hence loved her performance the best. Like you said she seemed the most real.

And side note- I thought Ranbir had the better chemistry with IIeana than PC..and I kind of wanted them to end up together. Can't lie kind of hated PC character for stealing him lol. But again like you said they loved each other so it's not a big deal they ended up together.

One of my all time favourites...❤️
Loved the performances ...loved the music...

Beyond all these, what I liked is...Love needs no words...it is bound by emotions...selflessness...trust...concern purely born out of the feeling one feels for the other...ranbir-priyanka bond beautifully echoed that...that was so PURE

Yea, even I feel Ileana's charachter is more relatable and easier to identify with
the pain she feels on realizing that the man she loves and who loved ehr once now loves a different woman...is endearing to say d least. I also like d fact that she becomes Meera and sacrifices her life to serve him...how romantic.
