Coming back to this thread after a long time... I see people are absolutely gutted... To be honest, I liked the episode up to the part where Ruhi is throwing a tantrum... Loved IshRa convo, it was exactly like what we had been wanting for the past many months... I didn't find her comment about wanting the baby for Ruhi that bad... When Raman had given her hope on their anniversary, Ishita said she was happy with just Ruhi and she felt complete as a woman/mother etc. I truly believe she was. I think it was much later when Ruhi started asking about a sibling and the elders hinting at it after their much delayed confession, that she started thinking about her own baby. Raman's 'battle supreme' texts etc, I think she very very slowly started to want it, for others first and for herself later. Anyways, it was all futile till they actually consummated, now her desire is greater and a large part of it is still for everyone else's happiness. I was surprised to hear her say to Raman that she's not incomplete if he's with her. Loved it.

Ruhi going to the hospital was the annoying part, maybe she went with the driver or something - still not believable.

And as a doctor, wanted to comment that pregnancy test coming positive to actually delivering a healthy baby is a long journey. People are disappointed that pregnancy test being positive just like that sounds miraculous... But that's just the start of this journey... It's easy for the test to be positive - these days it tests positive in a week's time since the date of conception... The real story is in what happens through this pregnancy. I always understood that Ishita never had a hormonal problem... She can totally conceive. It's the anatomy of her tubes/uterus post her TB that the pregnancy will have complications and miscarriages. I am actually surprised that for once in a Hindi serial, a medical condition has been properly defined. So even though she has tested positive, it's still not time to think the story is over, coz I am expecting complications and heartbreaks. That will be close to real life.

Praying and crossing fingers that CVs don't make a mockery of this track and keep it real.

I know, I quit the show and probably need a purdah before I enter the forum.. But I haven't watched the episode.

I came across Aani's OS today which was magnificent as usual and it just made me wonder. Is a kid everything? I mean, are kids everything in a marriage? Because I know couples who haven't had kids despite the fact that they desperately want one and I know that it's a difficult topic. What I know better is that it strengthens them as a couple! I personally am an only child and my parents have lost a child before me, a miscarriage they say, but never was I ever told of it neither has my father ever, I mean ever, bring the topic up or insult my mother for giving birth to a daughter. Or blame her for losing the child before me. I have family friends who are childless and relatives who don't have kids. And I have grown up in a community where not having a child is not something to be looked down on, but you are sympathised with and motivated.

No one goes around calling you baanj, esteril, or anzud. Whatever. They are supportive and when you have a child after a long time it doesn't matter how you attained the gift of parenthood - every body supports you.

I have grown up in a community like this and I gave watched YHM to get over the dogma that parenthood is everything in a marriage. It isn't, but rather it is a part of it.

I have come this far that this does not even effect me. It insults me. And it insults women all over. A show that was brought on to showcase infertility, adopted parenthood, love and hope has turned the lead into a baby making machine over a week or two of sex and a tantrum.

Yay! Lets drink to this miracle.
