Dia Mirza was injured on Sunday morning while riding a horse at the Mahalakshmi Race Course.

She fractured her left arm when she fell of the horse, which she was riding. The actress has been taking horse riding lessons at the Amateur Riders Club for the last five months. She was rushed to a nearby clinic and has been asked to take rest for four weeks and refrain from any physical activity.

"I'm upset as I won't be able to get busy with my painting and pottery for a few weeks now," says Dia. She blames the rains for her broken arm. "It's difficult to handle energetic horses when it's raining," she says. She adds, "Horses tend to get very frisky when it's raining. Just when I was having a comfortable ride, my horse reared up on its hind legs and I lost balance and fell off its back."
