Viplav's sister(khushboo thakkar) is soo cute why would people reject her for being fat?she has other good qualities as well n like Dashrath said to his son "is baar uss ka motapa uss k rishte k beechh nahi ana chahi hai" I mean how is her father supposed to control her 'motapa'?

thanks for raising this topic..i was about to make a post on this...but keeping short here

motapa..a word very commonly used...for majority, its fun quoting someone with this word but the impacts the person suffering have always stay unknown...in today's world, (talking about india where i reside) advancement is made...people are thinking above obesity but still it have its roots spread all over...a person suffering obesity looks nothing more than a toy to play with, to many...the ill comments of society on their obesity makes those people very low in confidence, scared to face the world and the pain they suffer inside can never be felt...obesity is a problem to which solution should be suggested but the way some people react to it, it looks more than a curse now...the situation worsen for girls in the name of marriage...the skinny slim girls are preferred by all...those fast girls are always out of choice list...when a girl is fat in childhood she may look cute...but as soon as she move to teenage and then youth, her head is filled with taunts for her being fat and being rejected for marriage from all...this fear grips many minds so tightly, that they start opting out for the dangerous means to solve their problem...their soul is torn by the society...appearance is the thing that matters..qualities are overshadowed always...same is happening with shalu...she is sweet, innocent but that are the things which will be noticed on spending time with her...having convo with her...but people reject her on the first glance only...seeing her overweight...this is the problem...those people are never given a chance to showcase their inner beauty...as they are rejected at the very beginning for their appearance...

and with dashrath's advice to shambhu to assure that this time her motapa don't come in mid may simply refers to what we call in other words - a bribe...when people are disabled or there are stupid reasons like obesity coming in way of their marriage, the wealth is used...as we can see in shambhu and kanak's case...shambhu was disabled but kanak married him for the luxury..now shambhu is expected for this...before those visitors can say no to shalu, they should blind them with the shine of their gold...its something like selling the piece u think defective with a loss...

A big applause for the topic maker for raising this topic 👏 👏 👏
A brave step indeed... I was thinking to post it but very glad to see urs. 😃
I live in India ..so I stick with Indian concept...The attitude of society is extreme black or white with no layers . If a girl is dark she is ugly ,if she is a fat then she is a garbage n a burden in the family for marriage prospects especially. M too fat ,well not like her but atleast I feel the pressure..really I can feel it..But my family is not extreme thank God for that but nevertheless I feel the pressure bcz in the marriage market m not upto the mark!..I m putting a lot of pressure indirectly to my parents. This is the truth of life really. M glad my parents like viplav's sister family at all..no comparison at all..srry for that..its a pity people can't accept the way u r ..M not saying they r not all ..fortunately or unfortunately they r very fewwho r going to accept u for wat ur. The blemishes is only for dark n fat people n all blemishes removed from fair n sim girls .Please understand I don't want to give any offense to any alim or fair people out here. Sorry if I had offended to anyone in any way.but that's how the society runs n v r human beings 😊 We get hurt sometimes seeing the partiality of the society. 😭

I will appreciate the writer of the show that he is bringing up as many issues as he can through this show. He could have easily made the hero's sister as a spoilt rich girl living in the city and looking down upon small city, poor people.
I cringe everytime her own mother abuses her about her weight. Wonder why Viplav never gets firm with his mom and tell her politely to stop talking like that to his sister.

The girl is so nice and adorable. Loves her brother so much. Has no confidence and guts to talk back to her mother, she must be facing this behaviour for years :(

She is soo cute as well as sweet she looks fair indeed but most significantly she is a person with a golden heart. The only fact that she is bubbly will not fetch her a husband is purely nonsense, she respects everybody she care for her loved ones, doesn't she have the independence to live her life on her own terms ,whenever her mother taunts her for her food habits as well as other things it is felt as if she is not at all her own daughter but born to some one else.I really hate person's who derive partiality among children especially towards girl,I am pure feminist who completely attempt to believe in the foot steps of equality nothing more than that, but these people are highly ignorning the cute girl and her true love.Congo to the writer he has drived an attempt to showcase all sorts of tedious problems facedby women especially young girls,
