Smriti Mandhana's father discharged from the Hospital; wedding remains postponed

The news of music composer Palash Muchhal and cricketer Smriti Mandhana's wedding being postponed has stirred up a lot of talk, and there's a fresh development. Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, has reportedly been released from the hospital. Although his health is getting better, the wedding is still on hold for the time being.

India TV reported that Smriti Mandhana's father, Shrinivas, was discharged from Sarvhit Hospital on the morning of November 25. He was admitted after experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack on Sunday, November 23. Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were originally scheduled to get married on November 23. Shrinivas was hospitalized in Sangli, Smriti's hometown.

According to the hospital management, Shrinivas's condition is completely stable now and he is out of danger as well. The doctors also performed angiography, in which they didn't see any blockages and that relieved the Mandhana family too, read the report.

It added, Meanwhile, since Smriti's father was admitted, the cricketer's wedding with Palash was postponed indefinitely, and no additional information related to the new wedding date has been provided by either of the families yet.

About Palash’s hospitalisation

On the original wedding day, Smriti Mandhana's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced heart attack-like symptoms and was taken to Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli. The next day, Palash was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli. According to Palash’s mother, Palash is very close to Smriti’s father and decided to postpone the wedding rituals until he recovers.

Smriti deletes all wedding pics

Smriti has since deleted all wedding-related posts from her Instagram, sparking speculation. The couple, who began dating in 2019, kept their relationship under wraps for several years, only going public in July 2024 with a photo commemorating their five-year anniversary.
