If that is what Saif said (I don't know the full details, so I'm saying 'if'), then it's a very demeaning comment. Any citizen of any country will find it hurtful if someone from another country makes such a sweeping remark about their country. So, I think the Pakistani actor's anger is justified. But at the same time, the Pakistani actor's anger is ill directed and his remarks about India are equally demeaning. It was unnecessary to involve the PM of India in all this, especially since all investigations so far has found no proof of his involvement in the Gujarat riots.

Coming to the point about whether Pakistani artists should be allowed in India, I don't think that should depend on these kind of statements. International relations are not dependent on the statement of some individual who neither belongs to the govt. nor represents the voice of the majority, rather it should be dependent on the behaviour of the Pakistani govt. and what best serves India's interest. Going by all the hostilities as well as India's interest at present, it can safely be said that India will lose almost nothing if they don't allow any Pakistani (not just artists) in India. Indian economy is not dependent on Pakistani market and India doesn't procure anything much from Pakistan that can severely affect supply of necessary products or raw materials if relations are severed.

I have absolutely no problem if Pakistanis are not allowed, as nothing will change for me and I won't even notice it. I don't know about all Indians though. Honestly speaking, even if the govt. doesn't officially stop Pakistani artists from working in India, the Indian people if they don't want the Pakistani artists to work in India, can easily boycott films and songs involving Pakistani artists. But is that happening?

given that yes we can asociate at people level and build cultural bondings... yada yada yada.. but there is really nothing we lack that we need pakisttani artists for anything.. some pakistani artists might want to pursue lucrative opportunities in india..they should be allowed as long as they come as migrant individuals and dont some with the jingoism of pakistani flags...etc... .. lets not make this like discussing global warming.. its just another painful neighbor and we dont have anything to do with such a neighbor!!!!
I am trying to think which pakistani artist has really been that impactful.. Except for Ghulam Ali, mehdi hasan, Reshma and few countable others...we really dont think they have better talent than ours.. we are rich in talent and diversity... we should enjoy our local talent! do we really need Atif shaky aslam.. or venna malik..etc.. its more to create unrest than anything else...

Banning Pakistani artists won't harm us of course, but it willnt be a good thing to do for an Awesome country like India. We are lovely people and talent is all we should see..and that's what we see.
We are not Pakistan.😃
India has never sent it's terrorists there, nor has given protection to Osama or Dawood, but Pakistan has sent it's terrorists here which has cost us many lives. It's incidents of terror which made us lose faith in Pakistan..and that Pakistani guy says he has lost faith in India because of a Bollywood movie and saif? What a retard! Give me a break!
Pakistani Muslims always have more issues with India than Indian Muslims have..seriously!

I think we should allow the Pakistani people to visit India provided they are not suspected terrorists. How else will they realise what they missed. The two countries attained freedom almost 7 decades back and see the track each travelled. People from one country are heading organisations like Microsoft, HCL, Google, (Satyam-Shivam-Sundaram fame) whereas those from the other head organisations like Taliban, LET, ISIS ---

In my opinion they should not be allowed. pakistan is not just another country for us, its a terrorist nation which desires to bleed india with a thousand cuts, it sends trained terrorists to our soil to kill innocent ppl and their establishment knowing everything doesnt take action against these organisations infact fully supports them..for instance 26/11 mastermind hafiz saeed, instead of putting him behind bars, he is treated as a royalty there.
as far as the citizens of that nation goes, just look around social networking sites you will get your answer as to what they think about india and its ppl.
look at the actor above, even if saif said something unflattering about his nation he had no business bringing in our PM and indian muslims into it.
do indians actors talk about the atrocities committed on pak hindus or other minorities in their country on a social platform just to demean them? then what right do they have to talk about minorities in our country.
talk shit about india now and then after few years come to india for work since your film industry doesnt have anything to offer to you. and we even welcome them with open arms.
until they dont stop their terrorist activities and hatred against india, they should not allowed to come and work here. be it the actors/singers/dancers/musicians/artists..anyone.

If they don't get an opportunity to work in India they may continue to remain dependant on US alms forever. Think about that. Alms from US go to their remote controlled "govt" and gets used to fund terrorism indirectly. At least the Pakistani artists come to earn money through honest and peaceful means in India.
