The couple bent rules of the show, by not dancing together as Shivangi did not turn up for the show and her baliye had to make do with his choreographer's assistant. Apparently the other couples are not too happy with the privilege given to Kapoor. A contestant, on condition of Shakti and Shivangi Kapoor anonymity says, "So what if Shivangi had a backache, even we have backaches because of the strenuous rehearsals. We didn't like what happened but there was little that we could do." Star One, in the Nach Baliye 2 had not taken kindly to Shweta Tiwari dancing without her baliye. Raja was ailing in hospital with a swollen liver then and Shweta had gone ahead to gyrate to Dhol Bajne Laga with her choreographer. Shweta had to bow out of the show. According to a source from the set, "It was shocking that Star allowed Shakti to dance without Shivangi. After what happened to Shweta and Raja last year, one thought Star will put its foot down to all couples in this season if they don't perform together." "David Dhawan told Shakti that Shivangi's presence in the next episode was absolutely essential," the source adds. Though Shakti remained unavailable for comment, Shivangi says, "I'm unwell hence, I could not perform." Anupama Mandloi (Senior Creative Director, Star India Pvt Ltd) revealed that the channel and the judges took a joint consensus in allowing Shakti to go ahead without Shivangi. "It would have been great if Shivangi had been present. Shakti would have scored more. But Shivangi is genuinely unwell. I don't know what had happened during Shweta-Raja incident, but even Archana had danced without her husband Parmeet last year," she says. I think its really unfair to other contestants...The channel is really losing the essence of the show with this and also the 11th jodi introduction.... How can they allow this time wen they didnt allow last time with Shwetha

And I think it was the solo round where Archana danced without Parmeet.

Yes, they are bending rules... But the reason could be that last year there were a different set of judges than now... So it depends on the judges after all what they think of it... I wouldnt have liked Shakti to leave so early in the show, that too coz of his partner not performing...

well but i think rules r rules...shudnt be bent like this..unfair on others...back ache , pain etc sabko hota hai because of rehearsals...but y this special privilege...anyways lets see how he performs..thanks for sharing

Ummmmmm when did Archana dance without Parmeet in NB1? I don't remember that.... 😕

Anyway I think its rather unfair. They must have done it because they didn't want someone bowing out in the first elimination, takes out the excitement. I can understand their point of view, but still, its unfair.

To bechari Archana ka naam kyun liya? And Parmeet despite his fever in that round, came on stage and gave a cracking performance, so what do they mean they allowed Archana to dance without Parmeet? Apne show mein kya hota hai itna bhi khabar nahi rakhte....😆😆😆

I think its unfair to the other contestants... Sabko injuries hoti hain.. Last year, Shweta Kawatra & Tina, both, suffered rib-cage injuries..yet they went on. So why bend the rules only for Shakti-Shivangi?! 😕

The right thing to do is opting out..like Shweta-Raja did last year. Raja toh was advised bed rest for a couple of weeks..hence they opted out. So does it mean Shivangi can perform next week, and only missed out this week?
