Chapter 1
Once upon a time there were two idiots. Nachiket Khanna and Ragini Patel. They both loved each other so much but could never express it because they couldn't stop fighting long enough to say I Love You.
So, this is how they meet.
Nachiket was jogging in the park early morning. He couldn't help but stare at a group of hot chicks walking in the same park.
Nachiket stopped to do some stretches. He was humming a song when his eyes fell on a girl entering the park. He was awestruck by her simple and innocent features. She was wearing a desi attire; long qameez and churidaar which added to her graceful beauty.
It was love at first sight.
Nachiket stopped what he was doing and stared at her. His jaw dropped when she smiled at the children playing cricket in the park.
And suddenly the wind blows adding more to Nachiket's lovestruck experience and blow Ragini's dupatta away. He feels a song being played in the background,
Ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga
Jaise khilta gulaab
Jaise shaayar ka khwaab
Jaise ujli kiran...
Suddenly Nachiket's vision of this beautiful woman is obstructed-- her dupatta has flown onto his face. He slowly removes it to meet her gaze, and she walks up to him. Slowly. Her eyes never leaving his.
She is mesmerized by his beauty, his masculine features. Their eyes lock for a moment then they realize they are in the park. Nachiket holds the dupatta out to her. The girl takes it and Nachiket notices her cheeks turning red. His heart skips a beat.
She lowers her eyes to hide her red cheeks. "Thanks," she manages to whisper, overcome by him, the simply divine creature before her.
She turns to leave, not truly wanting to. She feels his eyes on her as she walks away slowly, wishing with all her might that he stops her.
Just then he grabs her wrist and her heart stops for a minute she slowly turns and he asks her looking directly into her eyes,
"May I know the name of this lovely lady?"
She just stares at this sexy beast in front of her.
Nachiket waits for her to answer but when she doesn't speak he turns and she whispers,
"Ragini"
He gives her a big smile. She feels she is going to faint then and there in the park. She isn't aware of her cheeks turning crimson red while Nachiket enjoys her blushing and winks.
"What does Ragini mean, btw?"
"Melody," she answers softly. She looks down again for the fear of melting in his eyes.
"Beautiful! Would you give me the honor of walking with you so that I can listen to your melodious voice?" Nachiket asked hopefully.
She nodded her head, still not meeting his gaze.
Nachiket had fallen for this woman over a hundred times in the past 20 seconds.
What he did not know she had fallen for him as well. They slowly walked. Ragini asked his name.
"Nachiket."
"Nachiket is such a sexy name." The words were out before she could control them.
Ragini looks down and bites her lip.
Nachiket is taken aback but then he smiles.
"I know." He winks at her again and she feels more embarrassed.
Nachiket tried to come up with something to say to overcome the awkwardness. "Ummm...so...what do you study?" he asked.
"I'm studying to be a doctor," Ragini replied sweetly.
"Really?! Me too!" Nachiket exclaimed, glad for the presence of a common topic.
"What's your specialty?"
"I want to be a Cardiologist." Nachiket answered.
Dil ka doctor how apt Ragini thought.
They both wished the walk never ends.
"So, where do you study? Nachiket.." She blushes again.
Nachiket's eyes never leaving her face.
"Nachiket !"
It was Nachiket's friend.
