Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has once again reminded fans why she continues to be one of the biggest attractions at the Cannes Film Festival. Months after her appearances at Cannes 2026, a fresh set of unseen pictures from the event has surfaced online, leaving social media in awe. The new photographs, shared by designer Tony Ward, capture Aishwarya in one of her most breathtaking couture looks from this year's festival. Fans quickly filled the comments section with praise, calling her timeless, elegant and every bit deserving of the title "Queen of Cannes."

A never-seen-before Cannes moment

The unseen pictures were posted on August 3 by designer Tony Ward, who also described Aishwarya as the "Queen of Cannes." Set against the scenic French Riviera, the photographs highlight the actor in a custom couture creation that stands out for its intricate detailing and dramatic silhouette.

According to the designer, the outfit took more than 600 hours to complete. It features over 7,000 pearls and nearly 40 metres of silk taffeta, making it one of the most elaborate ensembles Aishwarya wore during this year's festival. The images offer fans a closer look at the craftsmanship that went into creating the statement outfit.

A couture look that turned heads

The custom Tony Ward gown featured a strapless design with an asymmetrical neckline and a structured corset-style bodice. The fitted pearl-embroidered skirt highlighted the silhouette before flowing into an elegant floor-length finish with delicate tulle embroidery.

Adding extra drama to the look was a voluminous white taffeta cape-inspired jacket. Designed with oversized ruffles, pleated sleeves and a sweeping train, it elevated the ensemble into a true red-carpet statement.

The styling was handled by Tarang Agarwal, Mohit Rai and Chintan Shah. Aishwarya completed the look with sparkling diamond earrings and rings, embellished heels, and soft side-parted waves. Her makeup featured shimmering eyes, winged eyeliner, rosy cheeks and a glossy mauve lip, creating a glamorous yet graceful finish.
