yeah that;s what I was wondering..they're conjoined by the stomach right??? I mean it was not that comliacted(from what I could make out)..but then again its medical scinece..but if they did then how would the seril move forward?

no they cant be seprate cuz they are sharing 1 lever i guss

I highly doubt a conjoined twin operation is easy...not sure where you got that idea from

secondly they are probably sharing vital organs or have attached organs..and then there is the issue of the spine

What I dont get is why the mother didnt consider this an option..i.e pursue it with the dr cause the show ignored any reference to that...odd

In today's episode they said AD share one liver, but Dhara has more of it so if they try and seperate them Amber's life cud be in danger.

As i've understood it will be too dangerous to separate them coz Amber might die then. .so i think the doctors knew that nah..and decided not to separate them!

AD share one liver and unfortunately, the distribution is such that the vital blood supply to the liver is in Dhara's side. A liver can't function properly without that vital supply even with Dialyses, and since both AD are well beyond growing years there is no possibility of separating them and hoping the body will adjust for discrepancies. What I mean is that had this surgery been done when AD where babies, then it would of been easier to sever the main artery into two and regraphing it because their bodies would be able to repair the damage and since the liver would be so small, the distribution isn't as critical as it is now. The story will probable end with Amber either dieing, or more realistically getting a liver transplant, which is in it self highly dangerous.
