KJo Rejects Varun - Alia Movie Script by Shashank K

It is known that Karan Johar is quite particular when it comes to the films his production house Dharma Productions takes on. The latest news is that Johar has rejected a script by Shashank Khaitan which would apparently bring together Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt once more after last year's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'.
Khaitan had bonded well with Dhawan and Bhatt and was hoping to bring the jodi back on the screen once more. A source, however, spoke to Absolute India and said, "Shashank had been working on a commercial entertainer. He recently completed his script and narrated it to Karan Johar. Unfortunately, Karan did not like it a lot as he felt that it was quite similar to Shashank's debut film. The producer was expecting fresh story this time round. Hence, he doesn't want to go ahead with the current script."
The source continued, "The film won't go on the floors this year as Shashank has also been working on the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded with Karan Johar and Shahid Kapoor."
Johar's next movies include Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' which he will be directing himself and also Kapoor and Sons' directed by Shakun Batra.

He should have rejected HSKD itself.

^^ No idea. 😆 I watched for some 30 minutes and was utterly bored. Everybody was trying too hard. So much of un-necessary nautanki. Also the seating arrangement of judges is so off putting for some reason. Manish is awfully irritating too 😆

Haven't watched HSKD and don't intend to 😆
