This director has one of the worst records ever. KHNH was one of the best movies but after that the guy pretty much f**ked every project he was involved in.
He worked with Akshay Kumar at his peak yet managed to give a product like Chandni Chowk. He assembled a dream star cast in Salaam-e-ishq and made one of the worst movies ever. Patalia House, Delhi safari none of the movies worked.

Lets not talk about D Day. Had it not been for Rishi Kapoor's acting, the movie would have be painful to watch. The storytelling was one of the worst ever. I mean they were moving with Dawood in pakistan like he is some gali ka gunda.

Yet after giving disasters and disasters the guy is still working on 3 projects. I can understand Imraan doing a film with him because no sane person will cast such a talentless f**k. But kangana? W*F is she thinking. She is at peak in her career.

Salman is brain dead so he producing a movie involving that ugly chick and sorraj pancholi doesn't have to make sense. So that project is somewhat understood.

btw, D-DAY was amazing! if possible, I would have liked to replace Arjun aka SRK-copier with someone else who can act better...otherwise the movie was near perfection!

2003: KAL HO NA HO - Great movie
2007: SALAAM-E-ISHQ - Very good movie, dragged on a bit but he did a good job of getting good performances out of the cast and bringing together the stories of 6 couples (he also wrote the script) also it was one of the biggest hits of that year in the UK
2008: CHANDNI CHOWK - Have not seen movie. But at least he took a risk trying something outside the box.
2011: PATIALA HOUSE - For those that have seen it, it was nothing ground breaking but was a good movie nonetheless. Akshay was fantastic as Gattu. Anushka was very cool as Simran and of course my girl Dimple was divine.

Very much looking forward to KATTI BATTI.

We were settled in UK in 2007 and as far as I remember the movie was a washout. OSO and Welcome were the ones that did most business. However the overall verdict was a disaster for Saalam-e-ishq.

Chandni chowk wasn't anything outside the box. It was a very old story with just putting kungfu in it. Outside the box was Taare Zameen Par that year.

I can understand that some people liked D-Day but the movie failed to perform in BO and was declared a flop.
Kal Ho Na Ho was 2003. Since 12 years the guy hasn't given anything above flop. Not even below average.

I watched SEL play to a packed house - and it had superb WOM here in the UK.
It's overseas gross almost doubled Welcome's.
Of course OSO was the biggest hit of 2007. SEL was Top 5. Did more than Partner.
You might have been settled here that year, but I've grown up here.
And us Brits go crazy for our 90s stars, and SEL had 4 of them: Anil, Salman, Govinda, Juhi.
