About rest of the clan, I dont like regressive life, attitude of people. Change is a must. Let Viplav initiate it.
Viplav means 'Revolution'. His transition from a carefree to a rebel will be interesting.

I had no idea that what his name meant! Wow.. That seems like a hint into what's to come then..

And LOL @ him saying he won't find a girl like that in this world. I was like "Why not bhai! I am sure you'll find one girl in the 7 billion people on this planet." 😆 I am keeping faith in his changing and getting on the past to redemption, but he's just not making it easy until then to sympathize with him.. 😆

I was expecting worse based on the promos...but the show wasnt as bad as I expected. Lots of cliches and all that with Mishal's character totally cliched and so was Dhani's. Dunno what made Mishal choose this show when similar characters are in every show. Plus who discriminates against widows these days anyways?
But what piqued my interest was the dynamics between Dadaji and Dadiji. The character of the Dadaji was especially intriguing from his treatment of his wife to his attitude in general.

KSH!!!!! 🤗🤗 I was literally just talking about last week! So nice to see you here!

Dadaji is such a DISGRACEFUL man. Anyone that treats his wife like that, who cannot respect his partner in life and who feels entitled to act in such a disgusting manner with his wife is just a pathetic person! Maybe she has done something that he didn't like in the past and maybe he thinks that justifies his behavior.. But as far as I am concerned, NO ONE should be talking to their wives like this.

I feel like he is just a very duniya-dharam wala admi.. He lives for the world, feels strongly about his image in society and goes to great lengths to protect said image. But he hypocrisy shines through once he gets in the confines of his house where he has no reason to pretend to be someone he isn't - just a narrow minded chauvinist.

Hey Fivr, how ru?

Seems like I am the only one who loved Viplav? 😆. Yes he is quite a brat, but i guess thats what makes this story interesting. He who wants nothing to do with India, one who wants to have fun dating women, one who expects to marry someone "untouched" (that is a first for me on indian show, some hero saying it out loud, and have to say it , it showed the hypocrisy in Viplav's character in BOLD), such a person revolting against customs, traditions to save a women from the self-imposed, samaaj-imposed plight. Yes, that will be fun. I literally enjoyed his OTT nonsense.

MR is nothing like the previous role he did (except of-course the drinking part 😆), and that makes it even more interesting.

Girl was ok for a first show. I am sure she will get better.

Expected the Dadaji to be what he was shown, no surprises there. Dadi is going to be person showing light to misguided Viplav (atleast thats what i feel).

Giggled right through at "she said no to me" , I was like dude what do u expect? That she is going to be like "You are right sir, I am 20, go collect your 50k" ?? 😆

Hey Anu!! So glad to see so many familiar faces here! =)

Lol!! I honestly stared at my screen with the most incredulous look when I heard him jhadoo the "pure" wali line. That definitely is a first for Indian TV and it went a long way to highlight his hypocrisy and ignorance as a character! But hopefully this means he can only get better as a person.. Fingers crossed.

I think my problem with his character is that I generally and real life CANNOT STAND people like Viplav. Not saying they are all bad or with malicious intent, just that this kind of immaturity and hypocrisy does not appeal to my senses. I cannot root for this hero as he is because he is not MY hero. He's just some bade-baap-ki-bigdi-hui-aulad and I can't be in his corner yet. He hasn't EARNED my adoration or respect yet.. But if the articles are any hints, hopefully he will as the story progresses. Until then I will probably roll my eyes every time he does something silly and wonder why no one has given him a good dose of a much needed reality check till now.

I don't know why Viplav acts like 24 means he's a teenage boy. He's TWENTY FOUR. I was doing big things when I was 24. 😆 And as far as MR's charisma goes.. I think that was the singular thing about Viplav's character that allowed me to only be annoyed at him and not homicidal at his shenanigans. LOL he acts like a 2 year old cuz he's a brat I guess...age is just a number at the end of the day...lol there can be mature 24 year olds and immature 50 year olds also...haha...I was just like stop with the age broadcast, man...at the end of the day his body language has always been regal...we've spent pages pouring over that in the LTL forum...lol...so yeah he can keep on trying to act like the bouncy brat...but the natural gravitas of his body language peeks through inevitably.

I think MR may have picked up this character for the transition possibilities from brat to mature guy...but all the jingoistic naare-baazi of the issue they chose as a backdrop will dilute it all cuz it's riddled with cliches and one dimensional writing.

And the girl...she was alright...has a strong voice which was better than I expected...seems able to somewhat hold her own against MR too in terms of presence...waise bhi seems like her only job is to look innocent and give moral lectures...lol...basic desi soap female lead.

Soon enough she will become the great bahu solving the mysteries of the Tripathi household and empowering the women there...lol

That's it! His body language has alway been so REGAL that when he tried to bounce around (and mostly succeeded) I saw glimpses of it here and there. Like when he was in that boat with that bottle, when he was talking to Dhani and was all affronted by her lecture.. You could see that body language shine through.

LOL @ her becoming the great bah of the Tripathi household.. I hope to one day see a bahu on TV who isn't a naturally gifted detective.. Because that's who I will relate to.. 😆

Every actor wants to be in Bollywood: Mishal Raheja

TV actor Mishal Raheja says every actor has a dream of appearing on the big screen, but television is no less with its "own charm and importance" and a wider reach.

"Every actor wants to be in Bollywood. But I think both have their own charm and their own importance. The only difference in Bollywood is that you shoot for a film for one month and then jump out of the character, while in TV you have to play a character for long," Mishal told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

"Television's reach is way more than films, unless you are doing a film with superstar likeSalman Khan... then your reach is great," he added.

Mishal made a mark on the small screen with his intense act as a loverboy in serial "Love Story". He then went on to leave an impact with the role of a goon with a golden heart act in "Laagi Tujhse Lagan". Mishal has also delved into the fantasy genre with the show "Maharakshak: Aryan".

He is back with his charm and intensity on TV through a new love saga "Ishq Ka Rang Safed".

Set against the backdrop of culturally rich Banaras, "Ishq Ka Rang Safed", aired on Colors channel, narrates the story of how a youth Viplav falls for a widow Dhani and how society reacts to it.

Mishal says Viplav may come across as a carefree person at first, but the role has a lot of layers to it.

"The initial part of Viplav is very light and fun. He is a carefree person, who is having lots of fun in life with his friends. I picked the role as I thought I will get something different to do. Then he falls in love and gets all intense and serious," he said.[/quote]

I am just waiting to see how all this gets executed. Till now its just too cliched...even a child would have done a better job at writing.
