Time heals all wounds they say, but some wounds only get deeper with time, with every minute the reality gets harder to deal with, with every second you wish it wasn't your truth.
He left her stranded alone at night,
She didn't give him one chance to make it alright.
How do you get over being let down by the one person who you thought would never let you go? They both hadn't figured it out yet. And so,
They went on faking, acting like their heart wasn't breaking.
Their broken hearts called for each other,
Their souls longed to be re-united.
But for 8 years,
He told his heart he hated her,
She convinced her soul she didn't love him anymore.

The worst kind of heart breaks they say are the ones where no one knows that the person is breaking on the inside, where a person is dying on the inside but a smile adorns their face.
She broke his heart,
He loved her with all the broken pieces.
No matter how much she tried to be in-different he sought ways to bring up their past and make her forget every ounce of control she had strived to develop. Every-time he bought up the past she felt she would explode with the pain and longing for what could have been,
He brought out the worst in her,
She couldn't help return the pain he inflicted.
Abeer sat in a dimly lit corner of the house he had come to, to save her, having put down by the one person he was doing it all for, after all this time she still didn't believe in him,
He burnt with agony and yet,
He only wanted to vanish into the sea of her eyes.

Abeer couldn't take it anymore, but he knew walking away wasn't an option, every moment with her hurt but seeing her hurt would be much worse.
Meher couldn't handle what the proximity to him was doing to her, she walkedout of the house realising anything was better than the pain of old scars re-opened,
He wanted to save her,
She only wanted to be saved from him.
