Film Farm India Productions is gearing up to present their latest show, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, on Colors. The show has been in the news for its excellent star cast and also because it marks the comeback of Mishal Raheja who won a million hearts with his stint as Datta Bhau in Colors' show, Laagi Tujhse Lagan. The show will soon go on air and ahead of it's telecast, we give you some insight into it...
#The show is set in Banaras and deals with the sensitive issue to widow remarriage. It narrates the love story between a very young widow, Dhaani and the son of a renowned religious guru, Dasradh Tripathi's son, Biplab (Mishal Raheja). It depicts the hardships and inhuman treatment, that widows in certain remote areas of the country are still subjected to and also the vanity of customs followed in the name of religion.
#The female lead, Eisha Singh is a debutant. The girl, who is 16 in real life, plays the role of a 20-year old widow, Dhaani, who has been secluded from the society as though she had an affliction that'll spread to others.
#Mishal Raheja, who is back to mainstream Television after a long hiatus, will be seen playing Biplab, the son of a renowned religious Guru, Dasradh Tripathi. Biplab is madly in love with Dhaani and will go to any extent to marry her.
#Actor Arun Bakshi is essaying the role of Dasradh Tripathi, who always shows himself as a righteous man, in fact, leads a dual life. The man who professes against equal rights to women and windows, is not only disloyal to his wife, but also has a son outside of marriage.
#Veteran actress Vidya Sinha will be seen as his wife who is as loyal and devoted to him as can be, despite knowing the truth of his marriage. She sticks by his side and would never let anything spoil his name or image, even if it means to tolerate all his misdeeds.
#Popular Bhojpuri actress, Kajal Nishad is roped in to play the role of Kanak Tripathi, the dominating elder daughter-in-law of the house. Kanak is from a very modest financial background and did not mind that her husband was physically challenged for the money she got in exchange. She's a shrewd woman and has slowly overtaken the house keys and all other responsibilities from her mother-in-law. Since Dasradh thinks highly of her, she always has her father-in-laws backing.
#Nishikant Dixit, whoo plays Shimbhu on the show, is the weakling of the family. The man has his neck tilted to one side due to some complication and has speech disorders too, owing to his tilted neck. Him being weak is the prime reason why Kanak enjoys a dominant status in the family.
