AWW Now I'm so sad!

Milli finally realized her feelings. And Rishi, you moron! How could you call what happens between a wife and a husband a mistake?! I get he was probably confused, but still!

And Milli's gone now! And only after she leaves does he realize that he loves her!

I hope they get back together soon!

Part 8 ~ New Revelations

It was a Sunday morning. Rishi was sitting alone in the living room when he heard the doorbell ring. As he got up, he went up to the door to answer it. Standing right at the door were Ankur and Meera. "Hi Rishi!" the two greeted Rishi in unison. Rishi looked down, seeing Ankur and Meera holding hands.

"Okay...what's going on here?" Rishi asked.
"That's why we're here," Ankur said. "We have news for you."

"You two are dating?!" Rishi exclaimed. After welcoming both Ankur and Meera inside, the two had shared their news to Rishi.

"I know. After we dropped you off from the party, me and Ankur talked a lot on our way back...and I guess we realized how much we had in common." Meera explained.
"And we wanted to share the news to you and Milli first," Ankur said. "By the way, where is Milli?"
"Um...Milli left." Rishi said in a sad tone.
"Left? Where?" Meera asked. "Is everything okay?"
"Guys, I have to tell you both the truth," Rishi said. "Truth is...I married Milli on the spot in a marriage registration office."
"Wait...what?!" Ankur asked.
"When dad kicked me out of the house, I had to find a way to get back in. So I married Milli to impress dad and show him how responsible I am so I could get back in at home. But when he set up this flat for us, I had no idea that me and Milli would actually end up falling for each other." Rishi explained.
"So what's the problem?" Meera asked.
"This whole marriage thing was supposed to be just an act. In fact, I filed for annulment papers the day after we got married. But I guess...we actually fell in love. But I was confused. And when I got the annulment papers, I thought that I had to come to my senses and let Milli go since we barely knew each other. She signed the papers, got mad at me, and left. And now only after she left...I realized I have feelings for her." Rishi replied.
"Wow...you're a real idiot," Meera said. "You guys are all the same! You don't understand your feelings for someone at the right time!"
"Hey!" Ankur exclaimed.
"Not you, honey. You're a real man," Meera said. "Rishi...do you know where she is now?"
"No. I tried calling her a couple of times...but she doesn't answer," Rishi answered. "Man! I screwed up! She was the best thing that's ever happened to me! And it took so long for me to realize that!"

Rishi put his hands to his head as he sat in frustration while Meera and Ankur looked at him. "Listen, man. Its okay. We'll help you out." Ankur assured.

"Yeah," Meera agreed. "Ankur knows her relatives really well. We'll probably be able to find out if she went back home or something. You don't worry."
"Thanks," Rishi said. "But before I can go back to her...there's something I have to do."

In the evening that day, Rishi drove off to Randeer's mansion. As he went inside the home, Randeer stood up upon seeing him as he entered the living room. "Hi, son! How are you?!" Randeer exclaimed. "Where's Milli?"

"Dad, I have to talk to you."
"That's okay, son. But tell me where's Milli?"
"She left."
"Left? What do you mean?"
"She left me."
"Son...what happened?"
"Dad, I have a lot to say. So I'm just going to go on and say it! Truth is...when me and Milli got married...we didn't even know each other!"
"What?!"
"Dad, when you kicked me out of the house, I couldn't do a thing on my own! So to get back in I thought if I got married to some girl, I could come up with some story to show you how responsible I am so you'd take me back. In fact, we were just going to play along with this for a while and eventually annul the marriage. But then...I fell in love with her. I thought it was a mistake at first. So I told her we should just forget about everything. And only when she left did I realize how much I love her. And to show you how much I really love her, I have something to tell you. Something I never shared before because I was never man enough to tell you."
"What?"
"Dad, you always thought I was a lazy, good for nothing boy. And I was. Because I never took up anything to do with my life. And I guess that was because I was afraid. But if it wasn't for Milli, I'd probably never go for my aspirations. Ever since I was little, I wanted to make films, dad. I wanted to be a director. But I never went for it because I knew you would think I wouldn't make it. But when Milli was around...she actually encouraged me. Then I realized something. If you don't take initiative for anything, then nothing can happen. Those who believe in themselves know how to take a chance. So I did that. I just went for a meeting with Yash Raj Films. I showed Mr. Chopra my script that I just finished a few days back. And he actually liked it. He wants me to make a film with the company, dad! Only because I took a shot at something, I actually got the chance of a lifetime. And that would have never happened if Milli didn't come into my life."

Randeer looked at Rishi with solemn eyes. "Dad, I want to be a man now. I want to stand on my own two feet and live my dream. I just need your support," Rishi continued. "Which is why before I even go back for Milli, I want to prove my worth to her."

With tear filled eyes, Randeer came forth and gave Rishi a hug to which Rishi returned. "I'm proud of you, son," Randeer said. "I really am. Don't worry. You'll get her back for sure. I can guarantee that."

Time had passed. Meera and Ankur had been helping Rishi as much as they could to get in contact with Milli. But there wasn't much luck. Three months had gone by. Rishi was at the last day of shooting in Bandra for his film. "And cut!" Rishi called out as the actors had finished up their scene. He got out of his seat. "Great shot, guys! That's a wrap!"

The whole crew clapped as Rishi then turned around, seeing Meera and Ankur from afar. He went up to the two and said, "Hey guys!"

"Great work, director sir. You should sign me for your next film." Meera smiled.
"Will do!" Rishi replied.
"We have news for you." Ankur said.
"What?" Rishi asked.
"We found Milli." Meera said.
"What?! You did?! Where is she?!" Rishi exclaimed.
"Calm down!" Ankur said. "See...when I was calling Milli's home in Ahmedbad, no one was answering. Then I got in touch with her friend, Shivani. Shivani said Milli and her family went to Bihar for a while. That's why I couldn't reach them. They recently came back to their house."
"Seriously?!" Rishi asked.
"Yes!" Meera exclaimed. "Which is why we told Randeer uncle. He booked us a flight for tomorrow morning. We'll go see her tomorrow itself."
"That's great," Rishi smiled. "I'm coming, Milli. I'm coming."

The next morning, Rishi, Randeer, Ankur and Milli had arrived to Ahmedbad by flight. As the four made it into the city, they took a cab to Milli's house, following the address Ankur had. Once they arrived, the four stood before the door of Milli's home. Rishi gulped in nervousness as he knocked on the door. "Don't worry, man! You got this!" Ankur told Rishi.

And that was when Mrs. Mehta opened the doors of the house, raising her eyebrows at Rishi. "Hi Aunty!" Rishi greeted Mrs. Mehta with folded hands.

"Oh hello! Come in! Come in!" Mrs. Mehta greeted as she plastered a smile on her face. The four entered inside the house, surprised by Mrs. Mehta's hospitality.

"Stay here for a moment." Mrs. Mehta said.
"Wow, she's actually being nice." Rishi said, surprised.
"HOW DARE YOU COME HERE!" Mrs. Mehta shouted as she hit Rishi with a stick, making him shriek in pain. "First you break my daughter's heart and now you come to our house! You fool!"
"Oww, Aunty!" Rishi cried as Mrs. Mehta continued to beat Rishi with the stick.
"Aunty, please stop!" Ankur and Meera begged.
"Mrs. Mehta, we just want to talk!" Randeer pleaded.
"Oh I'll do the talking here! You imbecile!" Mrs. Mehta shouted as she continued to hit Rishi.
"What's going on here?" Mr. Mehta asked as he entered the room.
"See here! This idiot of a son-in-law has come here!" Mrs. Mehta exclaimed. "Oh dear God! What wrong have I done to have my daughter married to this fool?!"
"Please stop her, Uncle!" Rishi begged.
"I'd rather not." Mr. Mehta said.
"What's going on?" Milli asked as she came in the room.
"Milli!" Rishi exclaimed as he pushed Mrs. Mehta away from him.
"You?!" Milli yelled. "What the hell are you doing here?!"
"He's visiting! And he will leave unless he wants me to completely change his face!" Mrs. Mehta shouted.
"This is a mad house." Randeer whispered to Ankur and Meera.
"What did you say?!" Mrs. Mehta shouted, raising her stick up and scaring Randeer, Ankur, and Meera.
"He said its a lovely house!" Ankur said in a scared tone.
"Listen. I don't know what you want. But I don't want to hear it," Milli told Rishi. "Please go."
"Milli, just listen to me once!" Rishi pleaded.
"No! I suffered enough! Just go now!" Milli shouted.
"No! You need to hear me out!" Rishi said.
"I don't want to!" Milli retorted. "Just go or-"

Before Milli could finish her sentence, her head started to pound. She put her hand to her head, looking dizzy. And then, Milli passed out onto the floor.

"Milli!" Rishi shouted as he went down and tried to shake Milli to wake her up while the others watched in shock.
"Now look what you did to my daughter!" Mrs. Mehta shouted.
"Dad, we need to take her to a hospital!" Rishi told Randeer.
"Yeah. Let's go!" Randeer said as he started to leave for the car with Ankur and Meera while Rishi followed as he carried Milli in his arms.
"He's taking her away!" Mrs. Mehta shrieked to Mr. Mehta.
"The brave hearted always gets the bride," Mr. Mehta said. "Just follow them."

And so, the cab took everyone to the nearest hospital where Milli was taken in immediately. As Milli was inside being looked at by the doctor, everyone sat in the waiting room. Rishi stood, looking nervous. "Its okay, Rishi. She'll be fine." Ankur assured Rishi.

"You're the worst son-in-law ever! First you break her heart and now you make her faint!" Mrs. Mehta shouted at Rishi. "Actually...why do I ever call you son-in-law! You both got the marriage annuled!"
"I actually ripped the annulment papers." Rishi said.
"WHAT?! You mean you're still my son-in-law?!" Mrs. Mehta cried. "Oh dear Lord! What wrong have I done?!"
"Calm down, Bindu." Mr. Mehta said, shaking his head in annoyance.

The doctor then came out from Milli's room with everyone standing up. "Where's Mrs. Singhania's husband?" the doctor asked.

"That's me," Rishi said. "Doctor, how is she?"
"Oh she's fine. Absolutely fine. This is normal for her in this condition." the doctor replied.
"Condition?" Meera asked.
"What condition, doctor?" Rishi asked.
"Oh...I'm guessing none of you know," the doctor said. "Well then...there's good news for you, Mr. Singhania. Mrinalini is pregnant. Congratualtions. You're going to be a father in a couple of months."

The doctor left as Rishi stood in surprise with Mr. and Mrs. Mehta, Randeer, Ankur, and Meera looking at Rishi with shocked faces. "Milli is pregnant?!" Ankur questioned.

"You got my daughter pregnant?!" Mrs. Mehta shouted.
"Cool, Bindu! Cool!" Mr. Mehta told Mrs. Mehta as he tried to calm her down.
"Son, how's this possible?" Randeer asked.
"Well...you know...you know what happens between a husband and a wife." Rishi said innocently.
"You mean that happened that night?!" Meera exclaimed. "And you were going to annul your marriage! You are a moron!"
"I know. And I'm glad I didn't." Rishi said.
"I should kill him right now!" Mrs. Mehta exclaimed.
"Calm down, Mrs. Mehta!" Randeer told Mrs. Mehta. "Be happy! You're going to be a grandma!"
"I have to talk to Milli." Rishi said as he then headed inside the room where Milli was.

The others then looked inside through the window to see what was going on. Milli was laying on her bed and was stunned to see Rishi approach her. "Rishi, just go now!" Milli exclaimed as Rishi then sat by her side on the bed. "Don't show me your face! Just-"

"Sshh," Rishi said as he put his finger before Milli's lips to shut her up. "Let me talk for once. After that you talk as much as you want!"

Milli kept quiet. "You know why I came back?" Rishi asked Milli. "To tell you something...I love you."

Milli was stunned.

"But being the idiot I am, I didn't realize it until after you left. You changed everything about me. Only because of you, I got a chance to direct my first film. Because of you, I managed to prove to my dad that I'm not the useless boy he once knew. Everything happened only because of you," Rishi told Milli. "I know we're a total mismatch. There's nothing common between us. But still...I want to keep this relationship forever. So...you want to continue where we left off...along with our child?"

Milli's eyes began to tear as she wrapped her arms around Rishi with Rishi hugging her back as he kissed her on her forehead. The others watched outside with smiles on their faces. Mrs. Mehta even started crying. "Bindu, are you crying?" Mr. Mehta asked.

"I just love happy endings!" Mrs. Mehta exclaimed. "Besides...he's not so much of an idiot after all."

The others looked on as Rishi and Milli were still embracing each other...and the new life to come for them both.
