Kashmera Shah says Rakhi Sawant is trying to steal her thunder by cooking up 'silicon' stories, but Rakhi has a different story to tell. Kashmera Shah is upset. "I can't take this anymore," she says. Kashmera is referring to item girl Rakhi Sawant's howl on a television channel, where she accused Kashmera of taunting her about her silicon implants. According to Rakhi, on the first day of Nach Baliye 3 , Kashmera passed a remark that she'd lost her charm and that nobody would look at her, now that she'd taken off the silicon implants. But Kashmera denies saying any such thing. "This girl can just make up things and the media is falling for it. I am not used to people imagining things. It's a cheap publicity stunt on Rakhi's part," cries Kashmera. The Rakhi-Kashmera war goes back to their Bigg Boss days, when both the actresses were on the reality show. They started off as good pals but somewhere down the line, things soured. However, at the time Rakhi got more sympathy from the audiences. "Rakhi has the habit of playing a victim and trying to get sympathy. This time again I'm being painted out to be the vamp," lashes out Kashmera. Bigg Boss may be a thing of the past, but Nach Baliye 3 where both are contestants with their boyfriends, has just begun. In the first episode, Rakhi and Abhishek scored 28 points, while Kashmera and Krushna got a 30 on 30. "We got a standing ovation from the judges. But now by talking against me Rakhi is trying to steal my thunder. It can affect audiences' perception and the voting. This is very unfair. She's making me out to be somebody who has no respect for women." Talking about silicon implants and other procedures used to enhance appearance, Kashmera says, "I completely respect people who do this. Our industry has a lot of emphasis on good body. So I understand why people go for it. But I can't understand how somebody can resort to cooking up stories just for a dance competition. How can you try to break somebody's spirit for a competition? I can see Rakhi taking this issue to a higher level. She says my comments have disturbed her and she can't focus on her dancing. But I haven't said anything to her! On TV I saw her crying about this and her mother consoling her saying 'Don't worry, God is with us'. I can't understand Rakhi's behaviour. In fact she was the one who kept instigating me by making comments like 'they would show us what real dance is' etc. But we never reacted to any of that," says Kashmera. Other contestants on the dance show, however, say Kashmera apologised to Rakhi on the sets of the show some time ago. What was that for? "Rakhi brought this up one day saying I had said things that hurt her. I kept asking her what had I said to hurt her. In the middle of that Shaktiji (actor Shakti Kapoor who's also one of the participants) intervened and wanted us to sort matters out. So, I just said I apologise if I've said anything that upset you. I did it because a senior actor had stepped in wanting us to make peace," says Kashmera. She says her boyfriend Krushna has been her pillar of strength through all this. "He has helped me stay calm." The couple, who's been dating for over a year now, has faced opposition from families. "Some members of our families were not pro to our relationship. But we have been trying and winning them over little by little. When we were offered Nach Baliye 3 we decided to take it up so that people would see our love for each other. Of course winning is also important... we are not here to lose," she says. 'Publicity stunt? What rubbish!' Rakhi Sawant is surprised that Kashmera Shah has denied she ever said anything about her silicon implants. "Kashmera said it in front of Abhishek and my manager. Uska boyfriend Krushna bhi uske saath chipak ke khada tha us waqt," she says. According to Rakhi, Kashmera passed this comment on the first day of their shoot. "When somebody is stepping on stage with her partner for the first time a comment like that can be very upsetting and discouraging," says Rakhi. However, Rakhi and Abhishek now want to put this incident behind them and move on. Says Abhishek, "Kashmera has apologised and there's no issue now. It's over and everything's fine. We want to work hard and focus on our performance." But if it's all okay, why did Rakhi rake it up again and cry on television on Thursday night? "When I first reacted to Kashmera's comments it was captured on the reality show, which was aired recently. So this news channel called me up wanting a byte from me on that," explains Rakhi. What about Kashmera's allegations that she's doing this for publicity and because Kashmera and Krushna had fared better in the first episode? "It's certainly not for publicity. And in a competition if one couple scores more in one episode, another couple may do better in the next episode," responds Rakhi. The item girl now wants to move on. "Let's focus on the competition. Kashmera has apologised and I wouldn't want to keep raking up this issue," she says. And how would she behave with Kashmera when they cross each other next. "I'll just say hi..hello," she replies. Well, what do we say now? Guess it's high time Rakhi and Kashmera put an end to their war. As one of the contestants from the show says, "We've had enough. Please put a stop to this boob war!" |
