Scene 1
We see a girl Rekha returning to her home (a flat) from a conference, greatly missing her dad Deen Dayal and vowing never to stay away from him for long again. The people there all welcome her back and say that her father is fine. One guy says he had talked to him just that morning, and for some reason gives a furtive look once Rekha moves away. Rekha arrives at her flat and looks around everywhere, but her father is nowhere to be found. A lady Kasturi says he must be there only. Rekha searches for him and eventually comes across his corpse wrapped in plastic in the storeroom.
Scene 2
The C.I.D team comprising of Abhijeet sir, Jayawanti, Vansh and Divya arrives at the crime spot and gets to work. Abhijeet sir notes that the victim was hit on the back of the head with some heavy object. He says a struggle may or may not have taken place, and then the killer dragged the body into this room. He asks Vansh to have the body sent to the lab. Downstairs, Jaya finds a tablecloth pulled to one side and Abhijeet sir finds Deen Dayal's slipper under the table there. He construes that the latter might have been seated there when the killer arrived. There was an argument and the killer struck him from behind, and Deen Dayal grabbed the cloth while falling. And then the killer carried the body into the storeroom upstairs. Rekha says neither she nor her father had any sort of enmity with anyone. Abhijeet sir wonders what the killer's motive was.
Scene 3
ACP sir, Abhijeet sir, Pankaj and Vansh arrive at the forensic lab. Dr. Salunkhe informs them that the killer was a male as evidenced from the blood and shreds of skin found under Deen Dayal's fingernails. Also, the head wound wasn't the cause of death but rather it had knocked him unconscious, and he died due to suffocation after being wrapped in plastic for long. Dr. Tarika says the murder took place about a week ago. Abhijeet sir wonders how nobody in the apartment knew about this, then. ACP sir points out how strange it is that there was no stench emanating from a week old corpse, and says it's important for them to find out.
Scene 5
Abhijeet sir and team meets Rekha who says that everyone in the apartment knew that she was going out for a week and she had trusted them to take care of her father. She's shocked to learn that he was murdered a week ago and tells them how Nitin supposedly had talked to him that very morning. Abhijeet sir questions Nitin, who says he had met Deen Dayal at 7:00 that morning, and the latter had been reading the newspaper talking about some match win. The newspaper is brought and is seen to have no such news. Others there claim to have seen him the previous evening, etc. Abhijeet sir admonishes them for lying and says they'll be punished if found guilty. Kasturi says they had been avoiding him because whenever they visited him, he asked for little favours which annoyed them. Rekha cries that he loved and respected them all.
Scene 6
Abhijeet sir and Jaya revisit the house and search the place; the former finds several deodorant bottles in the store room. Rekha is surprised since her father was allergic to these chemicals. Jaya says there are several stashes of milk in the fridge and they also see unread newspapers in the living room. Rekha says she had instructed the milkman and newspaper guy to deliver their items everyday for him. Abhijeet sir instructs to have these two interrogated about whom they had been delivering the milk and papers to. Jaya says the killer clearly wanted to convince everyone that Deen Dayal was still alive. Abhijeet sir says he/she used to spray the body with deo so as to mask the stench, as they probably didn't get a chance to dispose of it. Divya finds out from the milkman and paper guy that they used to leave the stuff outside the door at 7:30-8:00 AM and never actually saw Deen Dayal himself. Rekha says the only key to the house is kept on top of the fridge and everybody knew that her father never locked the house. Abhijeet sir says the killer is surely some familiar person, and wonders how nobody saw him/her entering after 8:00.
Scene 7
The cops question neighbours living right in front of Deen Dayal's house, and they say that they used to see the milkman, paper guy and presswala at the house. Rekha is surprised since her father preferred her to iron his clothes and thus she had asked the presswala not to come. Jaya says this guy must be the one who kept the newspapers and milk inside. Rekha says his name is Ram Khilawan (?).
Scene 8
The team arrives at Ram Khilawan's shop and questions him. He says that he never went to Deen Dayal's house and his son Raju who used to deliver clothes there, has been missing since a week. Abhijeet sir points out that the murder took place a week ago as well. Abhijeet sir suspects Raju, but Ram says he was a honest boy and had been preparing for police force exams. He provides Raju's photo and says that he also used to deliver clothes to room number 104, 105 and 106 at Deen Dayal's apartment. Abhijeet sir says they need to find Raju as he's connected to the case.
Scene 9
The team questions the apartment residents, two of whom say that they had last seen Raju 10-12 days ago, but Deen Dayal's neighbours say he had delivered their clothes a week ago. The others get angry at Raju for not delivering their clothes then, and Abhijeet sir construes that after the first delivery, Raju may have witnessed something at Deen Dayal's house that made him forget about the others. One of the others describes his undelivered clothes - a red shirt and black trousers. Abhijeet sir remembers seeing them and sure enough, finds them in Deen Dayal's cupboard. He concludes that Raju had witnessed Deen Dayal's murder and thus the killer killed him, and mistaking these clothes as Deen Dayal's, put them in the cupboard. Jaya wonders where Raju's body is. Abhijeet sir says the killer couldn't have taken it out without being noticed, and this it's probably hidden somewhere in the building.
Scene 10
The cops search the building and Abhijeet sir finds Raju hidden under sheets on the terrace. Noticing that he's still alive, he asks Jaya to call for an ambulance immediately.
Scene 11
Raju is taken to the hospital and the team and his father are seen worried about him. The doctor tells them that it's enough of a miracle that Raju survived in such a condition for 7 days, and they have no idea when he'll recover. Abhijeet sir stresses that he must be saved, being a prime witness to the murder. Ram Khilawan pleads them to save Raju. Abhijeet sir reassures him and tells Jaya that they can't wait for him to recover as the killer is on the loose.
Scene 12
In the bureau, Abhijeet sir tells ACP sir that 3 days back, one of the building residents had seen a laundry guy entering Deen Dayal's house at 7:00 PM but the watchman didn't see any outsider entering the building at that time. ACP sir says this laundry guy was one of the building residents in disguise, who entered the flat to spray the corpse. He says they must find out which residents had been present and absent in the building during the murder. Abhijeet sir finds out that 3 guys - Rajat, Rajesh and Nitin had been present in the building then. ACP sir says they need to see which one of them is strong enough to carry Deen Dayal's body into the storeroom and Raju to the terrace. They see their photos and Abhijeet sir remarks that all three of them look capable of those deeds. ACP sir instructs to keep an eye on them and also protect Raju as the killer could surely try to attack him again.
Scene 13
We see Pankaj disguised as a doctor and Jaya in glasses at the hospital, while Abhijeet sir keeps a lookout while pretending to read newspaper. Nikhil meanwhile keeps a watch at the building and informs Abhijeet sir that the three suspects are still inside. Eventually one of them exits the buildings and takes a taxi. Nikhil and others follow him and see that he's headed for the hospital; he informs Abhijeet sir. The killer arrives at the hospital and keeps his head low to overhear the doctor and find out where Raju is. Jaya notices that Abhijeet sir is missing. The killer sneaks into Raju's room, grabs scissors from the bedside table and prepares to lethally stab, but its revealed that the person on the bed is actually Abhijeet sir, who immediately seizes him powerfully. He turns out to be Rajesh, and the team arrests him.
Scene 14
Rajesh receives a tight slap in the bureau and confesses that he wanted to buy Deen Dayal's house, but the latter had been adamant not to sell it. So he had went there to threaten and convince him to sign the papers. Deen Dayal maintained that he couldn't sell the house without Rekha's permission. Rajesh lost his temper and hit him on the head with a vase. Raju was attracted by the commotion and entered the room to witness the murder, and thus was attacked as well. Rajesh didn't know how to get rid of the corpse and thus kept visiting the room in disguise to spray it and mask the stench. ACP sir says that Raju luckily survived and led to him being caught. Rekha says he could've asked her regarding the house instead of killing her father. Rajesh begs for forgiveness, saying it was not intentional. ACP sir condemns him for exploiting an elderly person and says he'll soon be taking a one-way trip to the gallows.
THE END
I liked the episode overall. Decent story and Abhijeet sir was in superb investigative mode throughout. ACP sir and Salunkhe sir were cool as well. Greatly missed the others though.
