Tridha Chaudhary couldn't be happier. After having worked in films like Mishawr Rawhoshyoand Jodi Love Dile Na Prane, this Fresh Face 2012 winner from Kolkata has now bagged a role in a new TV show, on a popular entertainment channel, opposite Gurmeet Chowdhary.
She will be playing a Tamil Brahmin lawyer, Swadhinta, in this eponymous show. Gurmeet will essay the role of her lover.The finite show of four months is being directed by filmmaker Shashank Shah, who has previously directed Challo Dilli. "It was a challenging role as I had to learn Tamil. It's a political drama and we have already started shooting in Delhi," said Tridha. According to our sources, the show has references to various real-life issues.Tridha plays a strong character, who becomes the voice of people fighting for justice. Meghna Malik is also a part of the cast.
