Variety is missing in Bollywood.
I feel like the past couple of weeks/months, there's only been threads/posts on the Khans and their super stardom and it's become SO BORING. I know they have a huge fan following but enough already, we get it, they're the KHANS, they're ruling Bollywood. Am I the only one who's sick of hearing about their box office collections or the same old "Is Salman better than Aamir/SRK" discussions etc?š
I don't see the same thing happening in Hollywood. There's hundreds of actors, there's enough space for everybody. It never gets boring, never repetitive. You don't see the same actress/actor in 100 films over and over again. In India, there can only be 3 Khans and 5 top heroines. The rest = "useless".
Who REALLY cares anymore? I think people genuinely cared when this whole competition started with Dabangg etc. But it's been so many years, I don't think the Khans and their fans even have to prove anything to anyone anymore. How many times will these topics be discussed to death???? Why is that much importance and attention given to the Khans only? Aamir is the king of acting/scripts, Salman king of masala, SRK king of romance, we get it. Like, we get it, they make a lot of money and they will probably rule the Hindi film industry for another 10 years. But why discuss it to death when there's like 50 other Bollywood actors? It's not that I don't enjoy their work, Aamir is ā¤ļø But variety is FUN. How boring would it be if Bollywood only had those 3 actors.
