Could feel the awkwardness between Kabir and Arman and yes their first meeting was not so memorable. The second glass of water was asked just as an excuse to break the ice with Ananya and loved the intended sarcasm - the party incident was also similar - he wanted to apologise to her and it had bounced back on him with full force. The stare was noticed by her Mom and she questioned her immediately thinking that Kabir must have left the scene but in a way it gave him the chance to pour out his heart, his past and his present. The best part was him saying that without her blessings they will end this relationship here and now and Kaya nodding at each other was very touching. This scene will remain one of the best so far in the show - kudos to the man writing the dialogues.
Yes, the dialogue writers deserve a standing ovation for bringing out Kabir's feeling ver so beautifully.
The phone convo was very endearing - Kabir so secure in the belief that her Mom will agree and giving Ananya the required confidence. This scene reminded me of the Baghi encounter when she broke down thinking of her mother and how he had pumped her up playing on her inherent strengths. Yes her father's case pushed her into the media world and destiny brought her face to face with her idol turned boss to lover. His magnetic words brimmed her heart and made her happily teary. Oh these two make our hearts go haywire. The next morning Ananya trying her best to bring in conversation with her Mom - it was so realistic. Can sense what is going on in the lady's mind - she is extremely disappointed with her daughter and rightly so. It will be really interesting to know what prompted Kabir to meet her and the talk that will follow. The JSP was so poignant in this context - one can own riches, even conquer the world but to win a place in someone's heart is indeed a herculean task.
I think Kabir didn't want to go to a public place or have any intimate moments with Ananya, without her mom knowing about their relationship, this is what I gathered from their convo the first time he dropped her home. Probably it is an old fashioned way of thinking, but Kabir is a generation older than Ananya, and hence he understands her mom's apprehensions better. In a way, it does work out better for them. Imagine a scenario where Ananya's mom get to know about their relationship through a leaked picture of them. Any other show would have handled it in that way, just to add more drama, this is what I like about Reporters, simple & honest handling of relationships. The JSP moments are another feather in the cap of dilagoue writers,
The first scene in the cabin - the bonding between Kabir Tarini and Anurag was a treat because Kabir is always his usual self in their midst. I think they are saving the Tarini Ananya meeting for sometime later when the storm starts brewing. Don't want to comment on Malvika and Manav - they are sinking to new depths everyday. Baby is seriously annoying - feel like fast forwarding with her entry lol. KL offering a stake to Kabir at KKN - this is a smart move - no one in their right minds will want to let go of a maverick and iconic man like Kabir Sharma. So this is a grand game plan to have him tied to KKN but as you say there might be something fishy in the clause. Khalid is ofcourse delighted with the development as his survival too depends on Kabir now after the merger.
Yes, I agree, they are saving Ananya - Tarini for a later time. I can actually imagine a situation where Kabir distancing himself from Ananya due to his guilt & hurt, hurting himself by probably resorting to alcohol and Tarini making an all important call to Ananaya.
Yes, khalid is one man who know the true potential of Kabir Sharma, he would go any lengths to keep Kabir with KKN,
