The movie by director Kabir Khan made Rs. 27.25 crore on its opening day and is set to witness a huge weekend, probably in the ballpark of Rs. 100 crore.
But what's more important for Salman Khan is that the film is being loved by people and critics alike.
"This Eid, I need appreciation. Now, that the film has released we hope people like the film and appreciate the work of every actor and every other person involved with the film," Salman said.

More often than not, Salman Khan's films are slammed by critics but go on to do well at the box office. Salman says appreciation is also important.
"It is not ok if the film does well commercially and doesn't get appreciation. But if the film doesn't do well and if the appreciation is more I would prefer that," he added.
Though Salman Khan has won many compliments for his role in the movie, he says the best compliment is from fans, "We can't see Salman crying on screen."
"They were crying when I cried. But that happens in real life as well if you see a genuine person crying then you also cry," the 49-year-old star said.
