Oh whatta befitting end to the tension that had gripped the entire #Reporters fandom..
Again, I'm in awe of the writers and the direction dept.. The crisp execution, hard-hitting dialogues and just the perfect blend of emotion and practicality - Honestly, it's the first on Indian TV, for me personally.. Take a bow, guys.. 👏
And Rajeev-Kritika : I feel my first jig on top of my bed when I first found out about these two being paired opposite each other was totally worth the angry glares I got from Mum..
Fiery, angsty, loaded with thick emotion, and yet so earthy and realistic.. They make KaYa appear surreal, yet so darn loveable, making butterflies flutter in my chest just by being together in one frame.. ❤️
Oh, they've revived the fangirl in me that was murdered ruthlessly post the disastrous end of Arjun, something I thought was impossible..
To begin with..
Manav Bhaiya.. Oh dude! You're a real rockstar, no matter what.. Hate him, curse him, but you cannot ignore him.. His sheer presence on screen and sharp, witty one-liners steal the show! 😎
Hyperbole.. Atishayokti.. Bwahaha.. Richa, you said it girl!
Aisa hai, ki he derives a sarcastic sorta pleasure out of riling people up, watching their apparent downfall, and basking in the glory of his little victories. He no longer cares about wooing Malvika; doesn't need it coz instead he's having fun watching her exhaust her trump cards one by one, to no avail..
In Kabir Sharma's defeat lies his victory, doesn't matter if it comes to him by hook or by crook. The perfect opportunist, and manipulator.
I'm pretty sure he'll take the centre-stage once Shreya enters the scene.. Oh how very entertaining that would be for Manav..
Ex-wifey-current girlfriend-psychotic Malvika ke beech phase hue Mr. Sharma.. Tch tch.. Manav's going to use it to his advantage, to knock Kabir off the EIC chair.. 😉

*Shudders* Oh well, I don't intend to compare but if anyone's watched a similar scene from LRL where Capt Rajveer explodes, reprimands Naina and flings a glass at the mirror shattering it, you'd know just what this man is capable of.. 😲
The restrained anger, disappointment and almost betrayal of trust glistening in his eyes, and simmering at the surface needed an outlet, and our poor little Ms. Kashyap's day just went from bad to worse..
Many here think Kabir's anger could have been tamed, and he shouldn't have insulted Ananya like THAT, but I beg to differ..
Like I said yesterday, Kabir Sharma never minces his words. Yes he may have several layers to him, but when it comes to his professional life, he follows a certain code of conduct and no one, neither him, nor the woman he loves is allowed to disrupt it..
His anger was very much justified, coz we need to realise the implications that careless blunder could have caused, had Inspector Khurana not agreed to speak up. Of course, we know that Ananya wasn't being careless, but she was certainly distracted by images of Mr. Kutty and his flirtatious remarks..
What Malvika did was unthinkable, coz not even Kabir-Khalid wouldn't have possibly imagined that she'd jeopardise her own channel's reputation over petty jealousy.
Kabir probably wasn't in the right frame of mind to put two and two together and arrive at a conclusion that would involve Ananya being framed. All he knew, saw and heard was that she had misplaced the tapes, jeopardised his news broadcast, and almost damaged his reputation.
While it may not mean much, as a news anchor and a senior journalist, there is a sense of responsibility that lies on his shoulders, and even a small mistake would cost him everything! His job, his reputation and his credibility..
Post the confession, the writers have time and again hinted at the obvious differences between Kabir and Ananya. While it may seem like a very interesting case of Opposites attract', it is not always so in the real world, and I cannot express my happiness and relief at the way their relationship is being drafted and treated..
Being in a relationship is highly over-rated, and when we let the euphoria get to our head, that is when it all comes down crashing upon us..
Yes, they're both basking in the aftermath of their confession, enjoying each other's affection but dating a Boss has it's repercussions. And Ananya will have to deal with this alternating hot and cold attitude of Kabir's until she forces herself to understand his predicament and acts accordingly.
This man loves her to death. She is his life's most precious blessing. He would die and kill for her without hesitation. But that's unrealistic. Instead, he wants them to find a semblance, a balanced place where they can be the formidable team of EIC-Junior reporter while at work, and unleash their crazy love after work hours..
He has always pampered her, allowed her liberties even prior to the confession - because he genuinely believes in her goodness, and in her talent.
Also, he has been warning her, dropping subtle hints about the merger and about her budding distraction for a while now. It's obvious that he would assume the worst, now that his fears have come to life.
And hence he unleashes all his pent up frustration, anger and disappointment. His words sharp, acerbic, tear through her heart and reduce her to tears. But tonight, Kabir - the EIC of KKN was unstoppable.. And rightfully so..
But.. Here's the twist.. Just when I thought they would drag the plot for atleast an episode, the writers stump me with their genius..
This ain't a daily soap.. And with RK and Kritika on board, the writers and the director have an immense powerhouse of talent that they can exploit forever, and yet not run out of brilliance..
Of the several pillars upon which a successful relationship can be built, good communication and developing empathy are the most crucial ones..
And here we and Ananya are just lucky, coz despite that angry, tough exterior, Kabir Sharma is a man brimming with wisdom, sensibility and patience.
He does not shun her when she approaches him, instead he's looking forward for a conversation with her.
This time he is her boyfriend, her partner, but the mature Editor-in-Chief hasn't completely deserted him either..
Ananya - the child-woman cannot be termed wrong or irrational, coz it is all a part of her genetic makeup. She is patient, strong, feisty when the situation demands it, but she's always been vulnerable, bratty and bold when it comes to Kabir..
One quality of hers I absolutely adore is that she is incapable of holding a grudge or resentment in her heart. Be it in the case of Richa, Ronnie or even Kabir in the past, she speaks her mind and makes attempts to sort things out, instead of sulking and mincing her words.
Of course, her taunts are only reserved for Mr. Sharma, and he'd have to put up with them for yelling at his Jaan in public.. That's just one side-effect of dating his junior, he'll have to get used to in due time..
Effortless communication is the key to almost every hurdle in life - And thank our stars, it comes naturally to both Kabir and Ananya.
They start off with silent looks, questions that need to be asked, and answered for them to understand each other's predicament.
Ananya needs to understand the severity of her mistake, and learn from it. Malvika or not, she needs to learn her lesson and keep her eyes and ears wide open, now on while at KKN, especially since she knows Malvika's intentions.
Kabir, true to his character is absolutely flustered that the crazy child-woman he loves to death, simply refused to understand his POV. He has seen the dark side of their occupation, and hence is aware of the price that a reporter would have to pay for his/her callousness.
There are only two ways in which a couple usually resolve their arguments. Either they listen, and patch up or they refuse to listen and let the negativity build up.. KaYa here, are a bit hatke..
While Ananya was hurt that he created a scene in front of her friends and thinks it could have been avoided had he been a little considerate and suspected foul play before blowing off steam over her in public, Kabir, on the other hand finds it difficult to fathom that a reporter of her calibre and intelligence could commit a blunder of that magnitude, and not find it grave enough to have a sane conversation over it.
Instead, she still refuses to keep their personal and professional lives separate, and was mixing up both, driving him up the wall, leaving him with tethering patience.
Often arguments in a relationship spiral out of control when both partners are unyielding, because no one is really listening or ready to understand.
But in this case, they're both listening, but they just find it difficult to understand that the other is unable to relate to their line of thoughts..
He knows she knows he is Mr. Kutty.. He retorts back by pointing out the silly and risky nature of her unplanned sting operation. And what does she do? She flings it back at his face by assuming he doesn't trust her..🤣
Bwahaha.. This is what makes KaYa hatke.. 👏
Malvika would have surely fainted at the sight! The woman tried so hard to create a rift between the duo, but in the end perhaps just ended up being the cupid, as always..
But Kabir is far too mature to let petty arguments affect them seriously. And yet, I hope he stands firm on his stance regarding the demarcation between their professional and personal relationship. Coz else, they'd both have to pay hefty prices..
Ananya, Im sure will understand the gravity of the situation when destiny drops a bomb on her and Shreya lands at KKN..
Right now, she's on a learning curve, and very soon it'll be time for her to grow up, and mature into a strong woman capable of understanding him, and standing by her man's side.
Oh dear.. That tashan-moment when she grabs her bag and walks away.. Tch Tch.. The fangirl in me almost whistled when Kabir looked like he wanted to throw himself under a passing truck, and ran back to his car.
This woman will test his patience at work, and then fry his leftover brains out, leaving him grappling onto sanity. 🤣
Aww.. *Fangirl feels* That cute, caring gesture when he follows her to her house to ensure that she reached safely speaks volumes about his maturity, and the love he harbours for his crazy child-woman.
He will not give her up without a fight, come what may!
In fact, the more that I think about it, neither will Ananya, once the real picture is out..
The scene next day..
Rofl! Yet another whistle-podu moment..
Oh how I love them both! That kick on the door must be loud enough to jolt Mr. Sharma out of his wits.. 🤣

Ronnie-Richa-Sunny taking a stand for Ananya.. This is what their friendship is about.. They fight. They tease. They question. And yet, they're there for each other..
I really do hope they stick together even post the merger, coz I'd really hate to watch them being pitted against each other..
Sunny, despite being the clown of the group doesn't hesitate to voice out his thoughts.
And Ronnie - He's the bestest bestie ever!! Oh mine seems like such a loser now that I compare the two.. This guy, just like Kabir is undeniably wise, and knows when to take a moral stand. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the one knocking sense into Ananya post Shreya's re-entry into Kabir's life..
They don't even have to talk.. Just the knowing-comforting looks exchanged between him and Ananya mean so much more than words.. Sheer bliss amidst the high-strung live-wire like tension..
Khalid.. A man of few words.. He may not have succeeded in stopping Kabir from yelling at his darling, but the guy made an attempt. Simply, coz he suspects foul play, and unlike Kabir he has also realised the trouble-maker's real intentions.
Can we please have a confrontation between him and Malvika? Pretty please.. I'd really want to watch someone put the owner ki beti' in her place.. Or perhaps saving the best for Ex-Mrs. Sharma? *wicked wink*

Of course, it was again kinda immature of Ananya to confront Malvika without a proof, coz this time her attack was a well-planned one..
But the bomb-scare did work to a certain extent.. Malvika's proud smirk was instantly replaced by a worried look.. Tch tch.. This is just the beginning.. She'll soon land in a soup, if she doesn't stop with her dirty tricks..
All in all, an episode worth every bit of the crazy hype surrounding it.. Kudos to the writers for executing it with finesse.. Just enough emotion blended with crisp dialogue, and praise-worthy portrayal by the entire cast..
TRPs or not, #Reporters is going down in history as one of the finest shows ever made on Indian TV..
