This is the only 'grand' film he made without going overboard with sets and costumes yet looked so beautiful and grand and also realistic.

What about Khamoshi?
I think that was his best film to date - a very simple, subtle story and beautiful acting

Bhansali movies are snoozefests...so far the only movies of his that I like are HDDCS, Khamoshi and Black...other than that all bokwaas he has made...damn if some one could make me sleep through a Shahrukh movie...then its bad bad bad😆

I consider myself a Bhansali fan but I still hold that tag by his first four movies: Khamoshi, HDDCS, Devdas and Black. Since then, he has disappointed me. The only other I kind of liked was Guzaarish but I know this isn't a popular opinion. To answer your question: yes I miss Bhansali. Not necessarily 'HDDCS wala' specifically, but the one who made the movies I mentioned.

Not too much...
as even in hddcs, his emphasis was more on sets and decor... and lesser on delivering heartfelt emotions.

no I found HDDS to be a sloppy, crappy movie with horrible performances from everyone involved. It just got hyped due to the obvious elephant in the room, but it's not worth the hype, praise or adulation it received and still receives.
Khamoshi was a gem however.

She is so sensational, an actress so passionate about her craft! I don't know why this forum is against her! They praise Deepika to the skies...
