I Love NY Movie Review: I Love New Year Movie Review

I Love NY (New Year) is a romantic comedy film starring Sunny Deol and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. The film is about two strangers living in two different cities [New York/Chicago] who meet on the night of New Year's eve. They are tossed into each other's company, which leads to comedy of errors. While the whole world is celebrating, they realize their own romance is falling apart. Making a desperate bid to sustain their own relationships they inadvertently fall in love over one magical New Year's eve.

New Year's Day is known to be one of the biggest celebrated days all over. While some find this day to be the best day in the year, some find it quite the opposite. The movie is about how two very different people find their destiny during New Year. One a musician and the other a hardcore banker (Sunny Deol) the two individuals see something in each other like never before. Kangana already have someone special in her life but when her family lands at her place, she introduces Sunny Deol as that someone special. Finding their fate in two meetings the movie has a fair share of romance drama and comedy in it.

Kangna is a happy go lucky soul who is trying to get settled in Chicago with her boyfriend. All hell breaks loose when Kangna's boyfriend makes an unannounced entry in the house only to find Sunny in the bedroom. Sunny is playing a 40-something guy who is desperate to get married, but he ends up in Kangana Ranaut's bedroom after a night of heavy binging.

I Love NY Movie Review: Music Review

The film was probably resurrected thanks to its leading lady Kangana Ranaut, making waves with her latest release, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, which turned out be the biggest blockbuster of the year 2015. The soundtrack kicks off with a dance number in Gud Naal Ishq Mitha. This folk number has been presented in a new avatar with lyricist Mayur Puri coming together with Pritam. Melody takes centre-stage and the sound of the guitar is heard right at the start of Aao Na. The silky voice of Sonu Nigam in this Sayeed Quadri written number has romance written all over it. Falak Shabir's heartfelt Judaai is the stuff that heartbreak is made of. Later, the unplugged version' makes an appearance as well and you are hooked on to it all over again.

I love NY Movie Review: Final Verdict

Kangana Ranaut and Sunny Deol's fans are showing a lot of interest in this movie, even though she is feeling ashamed that a movie like this is coming up at this phase of her career. The movie might get a good opening at the box office, but it is only for those people who love watching romance flicks with hint of comedy.
