You outdo yourself every, single time- but this chapter... I think, this chapter was my favorite of them all. You brought some of the most difficult emotions to the forefront, and you excelled with them. This chapter made my throat close up and my eyes sting. You left me speechless. I'm struggling for words, and it's because nothing I say will do justice to how well you have written this.
Sofia's love overflows here. She reminds me of some people I love dearly. She doesn't even need to say how much she loves Khushi- her actions speak for themselves. She's so much warmth. She's the kind of person that just curling up next to will make you feel better. She embodies love, and what love should be- she loves blindly and unconditionally, and you know that when you need her... she'll always be there.
The struggle Khushi has gone through to come to this decision is so poignant, as is Arnav's stunned reaction to it. I love how Arnav didn't hold back on his own answer to the question- but he isn't pressuring her into agreeing with him. They respect each other, and they're there for each other- even if they disagree. And that is the most powerful part of this chapter- the squeeze of the hand, the hugs, the silent support even when they're at odds with each other... it's so different from what their relationship was at the beginning of this story. And for that, I can't help but be proud of them.
Phenomenal job, Di. Just... phenomenal.
Love hamesha,
Your Choti.

Sofia Raizada's sage advice left me with a lump in my throat. We hanker for happiness which is seemingly just within grasp, overlooking that which is already surrounding us. Sofia Raizada's mother's heart took precedence over every other role here. Her daughter was suffering. Her happiness was suffering. And that, above all else, was what mattered to this peerless lady. It's a blessing to have your heart in the care of someone as altruistic as her. Someone able to rise above the bitterness which could so easily have engulfed her, given the vicissitudes of life she's endured.
I love the honesty you've shown between Arnav and Khushi. The courage to speak of their feelings. He's not sure how he feels, and is able to tell her so. She knows what she feels and is able to tell him so. They have come such a long way from where they were only weeks back. The way they both offer the other support when the other hesitates is so subtly brought out. At the same time, you've shown us their trepidation as well. Their fear of how it will affect their tentative steps towards rebuilding their relationship.
Jigs, your ability to explore relationships honestly is gripping. I am left empathising with Khushi even as I understand how Arnav is feeling. And with the conviction that,
Hope humbly then; with trembling pinions soar;
What future bliss, He gives not thee to know,
But gives that hope to be thy blessing now.
Hope springs eternal in the human breast:
