Candidly speaking, the winner is Prashant

Prashant has already won the Indian Idol 3 contest according to the international standard of public voting. Amit was already out before the galas. So he was not even in the top 10 originally, to be fair with the rest of the contestants. It is Amit's greatest luck that he rejoined the competition through the back door called wild card. I mean in which professional competition is a defeated (eliminated) competitor allowed to go through the next round? This is like someone is knocked out in the first round of a tournament and allowed to play in the quarterfinals.
Anyways luck is luck. Amit could take the exams twice in the same year, having failed it in the first attempt. Nevertheless by luck or default, he has reached the top 2. And I wish him every luck in the final 😛😛😛

candidly speaking, it's as though you are trying to console yourself that Prashant will not win.

Even American Idol has had the wildcard round, and this is not a 'professional competiton' its a reality singing show so it should be compared to other reality singing shows, not to professional competitions. And other reality singing competitions like Sa Re Ga Ma has had re entry rounds as well. IT's just like the arguement Ankita's fans give "she's the last girl remaining so she's really a winner"

The last person standing, regardless of how many time he/she has been in or out, is the winner. Amit might have come back in through luck, but it has spurred him on to remain in the competition and to give his best. His luck has not made him idle and rest on what he has while judges give him bad remarks.

SO let's call it for what it is, a consolation, not a victory.

^^^ American Idol no more has wildcard round mate. It had for the first 3 years and the Americans realised that this was unfair and scraped the whole idea then on.

Consolation hehehe. You speak as if Amit has already won the competition. Prashant is there to win the competition. I was just letting Amit's fan know that Amit is going to be eliminated twice in the same competition - first before the galas and now in the final gala. Be prepared to console yourself 😆 😆

I was taking the cue from you, if you feel that Prashant will win, why the need to state that Prashant is already a winner ?? 😛

If Karunya with his voice can be out, i think there is a chance the better singer doesn't always win. So i am ready to console myself.

But you do have to realise, it no longer a batle for India's votes, it's a battle for the world's votes. And not everyone in the world goes by regional lines but by the quality of singing. So maybe there's hope yet for Indian Idol.

Candidly speaking of course 😉

hey i m prashant fan, however i dont think in this way, if the game has certain rules we have to respect, we have to respect the wild card entry also we have to respect the public voting, if someone is getting pubic attention there is someting in him so people are crazy...

Don't hurt your head guys. I was just reminding you that Amit had been out of the competition long way back. Without the wild card bumper, he would have been a forgetten man. That's it. I have not made up a story, thats a truth behind us.

BTW, Prashant already has 4 offers for playback singing under his belt. And more than half a dozen concerts in America. Does that ring a bell in your head?

amit got a second chance with a wild card entry, but he came through because of public voting. the whole show is based on public voting, and it bears no resemblance to tournaments where players have to exit after losing a game. same with the exam analogy. in those situations the results are more or less dependent on the effort put in by the player/student, but here it's all about who gets more votes REGARDLESS of how good they are. so what exactly is your point? these topics are getting so redundant.

[Prashant already has 4 offers for playback singing under his belt]

So no one thinks he will win as well ?? 😆 Since the winner will be contractually bound to Sony and will not be able to take up all those offers, people are giving them to the runner up, if they can't have the best at least they can still have something 😉

good for prashant. but that doesn't prove in any way that he's a more deserving winner than the other contestants. prashant is extremely lucky as he's getting a lot of support from other nepalis. i wish the other contestants had the same luck.

Like you said in Amit's wild card luck, it deosn't come the easy way, does it? or is it plain luck for Prashant and tough nut for Amit only?
You guys seldom turn the other side of the coin. Thats why I come to poke at your egos at times. Its fun talking to the IF idles 😊
