YRF's film too with the actor is a period drama
While he is currently shooting Ashutosh Gowariker's period-drama Mohenjo Daro for which a set has been erected in Bhuj, Hrithik Roshan's history-lessons only seem to be getting more intense.
9xe.com has learnt that director Viktor Acharya of Dhoon:3 fame starts shooting with his film in November this year and once again, it is going to be a period-drama for HR. It must be recalled that Hrithik also toplined the cast of Gowariker's Jodha Akbar, which won him rave reviews and was also deemed a commercial success.
A source close to the development told 9xe.com that the Yash Raj film in question is set in the 1840s and is an epic love story about a thief. The film's leading lady is Deepika Padukone (Keep fire extinguishers handy: Deepika to rub shoulders with Hrithik, 9xe.com, June 2) and it will be Yash Raj's most-ambitious film till date in terms of the scale of production.
Said the source, "Dhoom: 3 is YRF's most successful film till date and they're hoping to replicate the success of the con-caper with Viktor's next. The pre-production is currently underway and the studio is hoping to put the project on floors by year-end."
