They show a plane arriving in India and then in the car journeying through the fields of Punjab are Kaajjal and her Daadi. On the way Kaajjal is a little scared if she did the right thing, to which Daadi says "Right or wrong action is decided by God!"
Meanwhile in the same Radha Krishna mandir, the old Guruji who gave Karan the bad bhavishyavani after DK death is praying … as all the temple bells start wildly ringing. He gets a premonition that after 20 years the Dev-Kaajjal reincarnated couple are going to meet that auspicious day again. He tells the gathered people in the temple, that his bhavishyavani is about to come true!
In the dhaba, Dev is asleep dreaming of being a superstar singing on Indian Idol, when he is rudely woken by the boy Chanvani … who shows him the utter mess the dhaba is in … and says Chacha is going to be hopping mad! Dev is in shock at the utter mess of all the scattered vessels and vegetables when even Chachi comes there scolding them both to clean up before Chacha lets loose his fire!
Chacha is then shown arriving at the dhaba and finding no one at the front counter … but before he can go in to see what is the matter, Chachi quickly decides to distract him at the front with sudden loving words that surprise him … all the while Dev and the boy clean the kitchen at top speed by just stuffing everything at random into the cupboards.
And when Chacha finally stomps in despite Chachi's pleas, Dev is cooking dish after great dish beautifully … Chacha is impressed … till he opens a cupboard and all the muck cascades on him.
He shouts at "Devinder", and Dev then unable to bear it any longer shouts back: "I am Dev the budding singer not Devinder the cook. One day you will realise my success … and see the difference between Dev and Devinder!"
He then steps out to his bike in a huff with the boy … and just then the car with Kaajjal passes by the dhaba within a few metres of Dev! They do not see each other …
Dev and the boy then ride out on the bike as Kaajjal's car is also on the same road … for a long distance the car and bike are one behind the other. Through the journey Kaajjal is now increasingly feeling like she is very close to her heart's destination.
At one point she thinks to herself she can actually feel the nearness of whatever is her destiny, when Dev's bike is seen riding exactly alongside the car and not behind … and Dev can be seen on the bike within hand-shaking distance through Kaajjal's own car window, but she does not notice.
Then there is a dargah nearby that Daadi wants Kaajjal to see which she says will grant all her prayers. So they decide to stop … and the car driver takes such a sharp swerve there that the bike of Dev is nearly dashed.
Kaajjal and Daadi get off from the car and go into the dargah, soon after which Dev and the boy, angered by the car driver's driving skills, stop there too … and they pick a fight with the driver in typical rowdy street style with all flying Punjabi gaalis and dares!
Then the boy Chanvani tells Dev: "We have had a bad day from morning, let's go inside the dargah and pray for a bit," and Dev says" Yes I hope the Pir buried in the dargah will grant me my dreams!". So they both also enter the dargah.
Inside the dargah Kaajjal prays earnestly in the silence of her heart that she feels as if her life is here in this very place, that its going to start in sme new way, and her dearest wishes are going to very soon come true, and the dreams she had which felt as if so real are somehow going to become very real too.
Suddenly, just as Dev and the boy enter the temple, the agitation in Kaajjal's mind seems to be becoming very strong, and unbearable. She leaves Daadi's side … and is seen running out towards the dargah entrance as if searching for someone in the entering crowd who is magnetising her!
Just then there is a very poignant and soul stirring music and drums … as Kaajjal walks towards Dev and he towards her … they freeze when they both are just alongside each other … and their faces are almost turned towards each other!
