No sam was not ott coz she wanted niel to understand that love has no meaning unless n until there is trust n commitment where in she succeeded as the couple started fighting without the wife even trying to listen to her husband. If it was love than the lady should have counterattacked sam bt no she doubted her husband than what love we talk abt. She has niel in the friend zone where both are mature trust each other, are for each other n are ready to leave everything aside to be there for each other thus she felt their relation is much more pure n strong than so called romance. Her purpose was not to create any strife bt to make niel realise that often eating together, laughing together n knowing likes n dislikes doesn't guarantee love bt deep diving within a being n than accepting the being is love which never happened in her case so she is disheartened. If I love someone I will mend him tend him stand by him bt will also criticize him which often becomes a roadblock therefore her reaction probably she would apologise for the same later bt her pt was people consider materialistic pleasures at times to be love like they both were acting spending 2 hrs or whole day stuff, what she meant was like she n niel can spend days together or without each other at work bt the emotional quotient n trust remains intact.
