Sonam gets slapped and kicked on screen by Abrar!

For city model Abrar Zahoor, his role in the upcoming film Neerja is nothing short of a dream come true. He plays Safrini, the main antagonist in the film, which is based on a real-life hijack incident and stars Sonam Kapoor in the titular role. "It was a fabulous experience to work on the film. Ram (Madhwani) is a treat to work with. He wanted us to be as realistic as possible. In fact, there are scenes that required me to slap and kick Sonam. It was all real and in one scene I even kicked her in the stomach. She was amazing to work with and is so humble," says Abrar. Quiz him about how he landed the role and Abrar says, "Actually, one of my friends was to audition for this film. Since he was in Delhi, he asked me to go and try. They liked me. What also worked to my advantage was that I knew a little bit of Arabic. In my three-month training, I was also made to learn Arabic." Abrar was previously seen in the film Janleva 555.
