She looked up annoyed when Gunther and Polly started shaking her hard to get her attention, while she tried to exchange her notebooks for the remaining classes she had for the day.
She didn't bother cloaking her irritation, "What?!"
Their eyes seemed to get hazed by a clear gleam of predators as they spoke of new meat joining in the middle of school year. Well, of course, if someone joined school in the middle of a year, who wouldn't notice. And she was instantly turned around and made to follow their jerking thumbs and figure out who that person was.
She didn't see anyone. What with the sea of white and black-greens swimming in front of her eyes, it really was hard to make out who was who, unless you looked properly at their faces.
It wasn't until Polly stepped forward and essentially blocked someone's path, jutting out her padded chest and shaking her hair, before peering down at the now wide eyed redhead, who was dressed in the same uniform as theirs, but with a skirt whose length was longer and went below her knees and a shirt that practically hung off of her shoulders as if she were a hanger. The girl was Painfully. Thin.
"Where are you going, Toothpick?"
Her eyes jumped to Polly's face. The name was.. somehow appropriate. But.. Her eyes saw movement beside their small group and registered the rest of her group coming to a stop at their spot. Their unmistakable laugh vibrated in her ears, making her blink and stare at the new girl.
"Krissan?"
She turned to see Polly looking at her expectantly. She hummed in askance and saw her lowering her chin and widening her eyes, before gesturing towards.. Toothpick.
She was bummed. She raked her brains to find an insult. "W-What's your name?" before frowning and raising an eyebrow and looking at her down her nose.
"Laurel--"
"Hate it! Let's call you 'Toothpick' from now on! Like really? Look at you," she paused, feeling her groups eyes boring into her skin. "And your clothes! Are you wearing a curtain? Seriously, nothing else suits you!" she shook her head in a patronizing manner and frowned in slight disgust, before bumping her shoulder into hers and walking off.
Sliding her hand down her high ponytail, she brought it onto her shoulder.
Her work was done.

Yup. I've come up with something new. And I'd like to continue it.
I don't know how many of you if like it, but I'll try my best to do so.
And I may, or may not change the title of the story, coz I still found a proper one yet.
