Nandini Murthy was angry. Why would she not be? Her boyfriend had been ignoring her for the last 2 days. It had been 48 hours since she had seen him, or even spoken to him. And she missed him a lot. She understood that he was in his final year so he had to focus on his studies since the exams were approaching, but that did not mean he should ignore her.
Her anger reached its peak when her last call was rejected. "Manik Malhotra, you are so dead this time! How dare you reject my call?!" She threw her phone on the bed in anger and lay down sulking.
An hour later, the house bell rang. Thinking it was Chachi, Nandini went to open the door but slammed the door shut when she saw who it was. The bell rang again. She ignored it. That happened a couple of times before her phone started ringing which she ignored as well. After a couple of tries, the phone stopped ringing. Heaving a sigh of relief, Nandini went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water when she heard the doorbell ring continuously.
"Manik Malhotra!" She screamed when she opened the door. "What is your problem? Why are you here, disturbing me when you know I don't want to talk to you?!"

Her eyes glared at him, nostrils flaring, her mouth pouting as she opened the door before she screamed. He looked at her awestruck. He was seeing her after 2 days. The 48 hour separation had been difficult for him. He had to control himself and refrain from talking to her and meeting her. He had to do this because his exams were approaching and when he was with her, he could not concentrate on anything. Miss Murthy was upset with him and he had to pacify her. He knew his ways to do that.
He convinced her to go inside her room before all the neighbours gathered around her house due to her screams. She finally agreed instead of throwing him out which made him smile and mentally pat his back, "Step 1- successful."
She walked ahead while he followed. "I am sorry sweetheart for ignoring you. But you know why I had to do this." He said while offering her a bouquet of her favourite red roses and a basket of chocolates.
She looked at him, pouting and threw the bouquet and basket on her bed and walked away to the window facing her back towards him.

"What did he think the monster that I would easily give in if he offers me flowers and chocolates?! No way! I am not going to give in. Not this time round!" She thought.
She felt his hands on her shoulders and before she could push it away, he turned her.
"What is it Manik? I don't want to talk to you! Why are you here? Why are you disturbing me?!"
"But I thought you wanted to talk to me. At least that is what I thought since you tried calling me 10 times about an hour ago Miss Murthy." He said smirking, coming closer to her.
"An hour ago Manik. An hour ago. I don't want to talk to you anymore. So will you just leave!" The brat he had the nerve to smirk at her. That too when she was so pissed.
"No." He said.
"Why are you here then?! Why?! You have ignored me for the last 2 days Manik. You did not see me when I came to your place even though I waited for hours for you. I called you, texted you, WhatsApped you, but you ignored every single call and message. You avoided me in college as well. I tried every possible way to meet you but what did you do?! Why are you here now?!"

She looked irresistible that very moment. Her nostrils flared, eyes bright, cheeks flushed and lips pouting as she shouted at him for ignoring her. Her hair strands around her face, in her normal everyday top and jeans she looked gorgeous. He had missed her. Every second, every minute. Did she even know how difficult it was? But he had to do this. He could not afford to fail in his final exams. If he did, how would he face her?
She was on about him ignoring her but all he wanted to do was kiss her. Kiss away her anger and show his love. Kiss away the pain of not seeing each other for time that seemed eternity for them. And just kiss her to feel her lips. He was so lost in to the thoughts of kissing her that he barely heard what she said and Nandini noticed this.
"Manik, are you even listening to me?!" He heard her scream. "What is the point of coming here when you don't even want to listen to me? Just go Manik."
He tried reasoning with her a few times before his anger rose. She was not ready to listen to him. At all. She did not give him a chance to explain. And she even threw away his gifts. "Nandini.." He tried again before she cut him short.
"Go Manik. I don't want to talk to you! At all!"
She pulled him by his arm to push him out of her room.
"Nandini will you listen to me?!" He screamed. "I had to do this ok! I had no option! Why don't you understand?!"
"I don't want to listen to you! G.."
He pulled her by her waist and smacked his lips on hers stopping her from uttering a word more. He kissed her pouring his love in that one kiss.

Nandini was shocked and did not know how to react when she suddenly felt him pull her and kiss her. Her hands were on his chest and she tried pushing him away but he pulled her closer and kissed her deeper. Feeling his lips on hers she finally gave in and kissed him back passionately as she had missed him too much to stay away.
They both pulled away, in need of breath and looked at each other, their faces flushed.
"I love you sweetheart." He said.
"I love you too." And she hugged him tightly, all her anger vanished.
