Loved the episode today. This crossed my mind so penned down a story. Hope you like it

Kabir Sharma was a happy man today ! For a day he had allowed himself to be happy.
He had just shared dinner with his brother after almost half a decade. The talk of course had been light and deliberately away from topics that were safely guarded!
He had just hugged his brother one last time before he left for his hotel to catch his early morning flight.
He sat on his plush leather sofa and took a moment to think about all that had transpired today.
A lucky escape from clutches of Madhonath, a misty emotional welcome at office and a new bond of friendship that had forged today.
Miss.Kashyap..no Ananya...he automatically reached for his cell and to his surprise found a message waiting for him -' hhopefully aapko bura nahn laga'
He furrowed his eyebrows wondering what had happened. He glanced at his watch reading 11:55 pm.
He mmessaged her - kis baare mein. Aur tumko kya lagta hai Ananya agar mere ko bura laga' to main bolunga nahn.'
He pressed sent and in a few seconds had a message from her.
' itni der mein reply karoge toh lagega ki bura laga. It is known as instant messaging for a reason'
He read and a smile adorned his face - Fiery Miss Kashyap was back.
' Arre phone hai , koi Siamese twin thodi hai. Woh kitchen ke slab pe tha. Abhi padha '
' Kitchen ke slab pe subzi bartan hote hain , phone wahan rakhte hain jahan sunayi de'
Kabir could almost picture her pursed lips as he read the message.
' Main kal se gale mein bhaandh lunga. Chalo ab kaam ki baat batao mujhe kiss baat ke liye bura lagega...'
He typed it and sent the mmessage. He made a quick stop to his bedroom to change and rushed out to see if he had any message.
3 minutes and he had not received a reply. So unlike Ananya he thought !
He waited for two more minutes and called her.
She picked her phone on the second ring-' Sab theek hai na Kabir? ITni raat ko call kiya?'
' Nahn woh tumhare message ka reply nahn aaya isliye. Kiss baat ka bura?'- Kabir said with his heart racing.
' uhmmm woh aap mere boss ho aur dost bhi. Aur mere ko yeh drawing the line ka concept nahn samajh lagta'- she answered annoyed with herself
Kabir heaved a sigh of relief -' Dosti kari hai nibhaunga bhi. Kya puchna hai bolo'
Shit ! How does he know I want to ask something. All that talk about his ex wife had got her thinking..
' Puchlo AAnanya..warna soch soch ke sir phat jayega...'- Kabir laughed
' Kabir agar main...jawab jaruri nahn hai...'- she fumbled
' itna kamzor sochti ho meri Dosti ko. Chalo batao kis ke baare mein sunna chahti ho mere bhai ke baare mein ya Shreya ke baare mein'- he said reading her mind.
'Aapko kaise pata'- she asked baffled.
' Tumhe pata hai Ananya ki agar tum nahn bolti toh tumhari khamoshi bol deti hai.'- he told her softly on the phone
' Mujhe aap se bahut jalan hoti hai. Aap Sab kuch padh aur samajh lete hain aur main aap ko nahn samajh paati' - she told him, dejected with herself
' Ananya aaj toh Dosti hui hai. Samajhne ke liye bahut din hain...'
- he trailed
'Aur...'- she coaxed him to continue
' aur ho sakta hai tumko main samajhne ke baad acha na lagun'- he voiced his fear as he clutched his phone tighter.
'Aapko chocolates pasand hain, woh lindt truffles?' - she asked abruptly
The change caught Kabir off guard and said -' Haan bahut achi lagti hai '
'Bus phir toh main aapko napasand nahn kar sakti. ' - she smiled on the phone and knew he was smiling too
' Aur tum kehti ho ki tum mujhe samajh nahn ppaati'- he told her
'Kabir kal office mein chutti hai ?'
'Nahn. Kyon?'- He asked wondering
' Kabir mera ek editor in chief hai. Kaafi khadus hai. Main late aati hun toh marker se conference room update hota hai. Aur pura din meri shamat hoti hai'- she heard Kabir chuckle over the phone
' Tyrant huh?'
' You have no idea'- she stifled a yawn
' Ananya tumhara sawaal?'- he told her apprehensively
' Dosti lambi chalegi. Jis din aapko kabron se fursat milegi us din batana '- she disconnected the call.
She would wait for the day Kabir would her with his past and his heart
He stared at the screen as he disconnected the call.
He knew she would wait !
Right now this was good ! They were good.
